I think this is one of the main things that's put me off electric this time around. I've not gone this year yet for reasons, but my parent's house is about a 6 hour drive and I go home to visit and that's with only minimal stops along the way. even if charging stations existed along the way it would add at least two more hours to have to stop and recharge a couple of times to get there. Once I'm back in the office my round trip commute is nearly 80 miles, and while within that range I'd still have paranoia about over extending or what happens when the battery starts to get old and doesn't hold as much charge, etc.
Citrine
I finally got the refund for the trip to Norway that was canceled back in March. That took a little while... 17

Now is the time for the ritual greeting of it with the Peanuts Halloween Special. Needs more Red Baron and Schroeder playing ominous music in the background. Knowing them, they'll just manage to summon Woodstock. 7
Jasper_the_2nd
Nothing worse than a missing package of magnets in a room full of computers.....where they heck did I put those??? I found the "slightly" bigger ones but the pack I know I have (there is one glued in a mini right there!) has gone AWOL..... I've pondered getting an electric car for my next daily driver (assuming we eventually go back to working in the office...if work from home becomes permanent then no). But that's dependent on us still having at least one car with a real range and that you can refill quickly for longer trips.

With current range and charging technology, I still feel that electric cars are excellent for local commutes, but not for long distances. My compromise is driving a hybrid, with PHEV hybrids being the most logical choice. All electric on short commutes, gas kicks on longer ones. Maybe California will figure out this range problem.

Zink
Had some business with a neighbour last night. He's a talkative, no BS type of guy with a bit of a smart mouth. Haven't laughed so hard in ages listening to stories about troubles his mouth has got him into and out of. Had 2 beers and today I feel hung over. WTF? Blaming it more on the stress of the last week than two measly beer. That visit finally got me back to normal on the tension chart but sadly tomorrow is deal with the idiot day so I'll likely be wound out again afterwards. Ah well, today is a dentist appointment so my most important thing is to lay there and try to have a conversation while holding my mouth open as wide as possible. Seriously do they really expect coherent responses or is it just white noise to keep us calm?
ManvsMini
Lucy Lawless was on point in Xena Warrior Princess... yep, it's on tv right now... and yep, I am secure enough to admit to watching it. Too bad it isn't a marathon. Wish they'd show the episodes with Bruce Campbell. Edited October 1, 2020 by ManvsMini

Had Karl Urban as Nero in it.

I never got to see the episodes with Karl Urban, but knew he had been in a few. If I determine that the county library system has things under control, I'll eventually start requesting all the seasons so I can watch. And the Hercules series while I am at it.

And had a costume to prove it! 6

One of my favorite lines from The Gamers: Hands of Fate, is when Christian Doyle's character, while discussing convention romances, says "I once did a Xena WHILE dressed as Xena... you know, I think it was Xena-Con." 4
