Crowley
COFFEE!! Eh, too late... BEER!! What a week... and it's only Wednesday... *sigh* Docs still want to induce Mrs. Hamster around the 23rd. I'd rather the little one stay in for a little longer, but... gotta trust the medical professionals. And Mrs. Hamster did again have elevated BP at her appointment today... so... MOAR BEER!! 12

That horror is roughly 6000 calories apparently Glad that you got Molly back safe and sound, here's hoping that Dixies prognosis is a good one. That thing looks delicious, but so much fried food there... it'd taste great going down, but my body would reject the grease and fat. Though today I wouldn't have cared, I'd have shoveled all of that in my face. And a good thing it does come with juice, to get all that down you'll need it! I just called to check on Molly for her overnight stay, they said she's a bit nervous but doing well; going to attempt feeding her in another hour, I know she's hungry, but not sure if she'll take food from a stranger. Really missing her, it's the first time she's been apart from me; the house feels empty of energy without her. 49 minutes ago, Kuroneko said: All this sanitizer is playing havoc with the skin on my hands, I have to slather my hands in Dream Cream when I get in from work otherwise I get a weird reaction My hands are chapped from today. The isopropyl alcohol really dries the skin out; I'd rather use the gel kind that uses ethanol instead, isn't so harsh on my hands, but that leaves my hands feeling heavy and sticky sometimes. All I wanted was to wash my hands with soap and water when I got home. 53 minutes ago, Kuroneko said: *there's your Scottish word of the day 41 minutes ago, Green Eyed Monster said: Keep them Scottish Dialect Lessons coming. It's down by close to 100,00 people according to the people who keep track of these matters. That would be deaths from all causes? With a lot less commuting and road traffic do you suppose maybe highway fatalities are way down? 2 hours ago, Green Eyed Monster said: 2 hours ago, Green Eyed Monster said: Unless my memory is disintegrating faster than I'm aware of, didn't they tour in Japan? GEM Yep. 1989 and there's a 4 disc box set. GEM I remember Cheap Trick doing a Live At Bhuddakan (sp?) album. All the big bands would turn up in Japan when they got big enough back then.
WhiteWulfe
Nothing quite like having some spare cash and going "I wonder if I could put a cart together there, and get it here before winter hits".... Only to find out that somehow the several hours of meticulous work you'd done on creating wishlists on their site.... No wishlists exist on said site now in one's account. I had a lot of tools in there, and a general idea of what my plans were with them too. >.<

And yes, the reduced traffic probably is contribution to the reduced rate of mortality, if from no other reason than the drunk drivers have fewer targets. We won't get much detailed analysis of the statistics for this year until after the year end totals are tabulated. GEM
Jasper_the_2nd
Been a lousy couple of days for my province. Monday we were sitting at 3 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the province, all related to travel outside the Atlantic bubble, all self isolating, none requiring hospitalization. Yesterday they had 2 confirmed cases in a long term seniors care facility (nursing home I guess is no longer the term) in the next city over. Unknown source. Government is all over it, many tests, trying to trace back. Today they got the results of the test yesterday, so 17 new cases today, all related to the cases from yesterday. Possible exposure locations and times are starting to come out. Not good, but unfortunately expected. Folks here have been getting very lax since our numbers have been so low. And yes, I know our numbers are really low compared to other places, but I still don't like seeing a jump from 3 self isolating cases to 22 cases, mostly from an unknown source. Boo. In other news I got my flu shot today. So far no significant reaction. 10
WhiteWulfe
Whooo! No idea why it did it, but created a new wishlist and BOOM. Old wishlists were back at that company. Fox ish happy. Wallet? Not so much.

Unfortunately not everyone is taking notice, as our restrictions are tightening on Friday. Pubs and restaurants closed for at least 16 days and unnecessarily travel is being discouraged as a kind of "circuit breaker" to try and slowdown our infection rates. We're still not allowed houseguests and I'm completely scunnered* by the whole situation. We haven't had a game of Pathfinder since March How hard is it for people to obey basic hygiene methods? I was so angry today that I even painted! *there's your Scottish word of the day I learned the word 'scunner' from Sir Pterry. Gods above and below, I miss him. WhiteWulfe
I love the idea of sour cream old fashioned donuts. Those can be rather tasty... On a totally different front, anyone got any ideas for a decent 1:48 scale F-18 model? I'm not having much luck finding any for some reason.

Try 1999.co.jp There is a tab for military models & then just type f-18 in the search bar!!

That Shaguar kit has a copyright date of like 1963 or so on it....... & it definitely shows compared to say the Aoshima K.I.T.T Knight Rider kit.
