Still pricy. Odd that scalemates says Canada only has them from 2011 onwards though. We've had F-18's for a looooong time.

That's to do with the name of the service, the RCAF spent most of the 90s known as Air Command and only changed their name back to RCAF in 2011... I only know this because it confused me as well (I did know that those dates were to do with the name of the service rather than service dates though) From what I've seen with model kits recently if you want something decent you pay for it, and I haven't seen many 1/48 scale jmodern ets for less than $70AUD either - except for those kits where te reviews basically say to avoid completely. 6

When I was at a Rocky Horror event, I wasn't Frank N. Furter, I was everybody's favorite - Riff Raff. It's astounding.... For this, I was channeling Curry's Long John Silver. I think this group of kids was more frightened of the Rakshasa rajah than the first group. And they really don't believe him, which is strange, since he is telling the absolute truth. Mad Jack
The one and only time I've ever played Riff, it was at a national convention in front of 250 people, lol. And my friend's dog ate my space suit, so I went on stage in a new suit I'd spent the whole day of the show finishing...

You don't put that kind of effort into a one scene NPC. He was offering the PCs drugs. Can an Outsider be an addict? -Is- he addicted? TheAuldGrump
I have a strange urge to introduce Megan to el Luchador movies from the sixties and seventies.... Ones with Luchadors fighting monsters.... The Auld Grump - these were terrible, terrible movies.

Maybe I saw things differently growing up on the bases *shrugs* (although most of my youth was around 408 "Fighting Geese" errr, I mean "Flying Geese". Truthfully, I remember the armoured and artillery guys more, probably because they took us for rides during family days.... Or pretended to try and stuff us down the barrels of said artillery - for the record, my head actually did fit in the barrel of the one at the time. Shoulders didn't. Artillery guy joked they could get lube, and my dad was all "okay, you guys have had your fun, leave him be".) The original eight were part of the Royal Canadian Air Force. So weird that places seem to only think of Comox or Cold Lake when it comes to our fighter wings.. But maybe it's because not all know of the original eight, and finding info on such is actually surprisingly hard. That and about the only thing that will change is the squadron logo...

Huzzah! --OneBoot :D 14 hours ago, Dilvish the Deliverer said: After being married for 20+ years (and many of them separated for long stretches of time due to Navy), Awesome Wife and I don't feel the need to be in each other's pocket constantly (not that that is a bad thing if you both enjoy that, just we don't). We have activities that that we do together, and activities that we do separately. For instance, she listens to a bunch of audiobooks; if I'm yapping at her, she can't concentrate and gets annoyed. Or she will watch one of her period British dramas (Pride and Prejudice and the like), which while I enjoy them occasionally, she watches them more often than I care for. During those time, I hobby, game, watch YouTube and so forth. As far as chores, in our house, we spend more time reminding our kids to get the chores done. But as far as my stuff, I don't hobby if I have chores to do. Or I hobby in between stages of chores. Load the washer, paint, move clothes to dryer, paint, load dishwasher, paint while it runs. In general, we tell each other that we are going to go do something (and offer for them to join), and trust that if they need Us Time that they will tell us so. Then we readjust. That works for us. Wouldn't work for some other couples we know (my buddy Alan had to do an overnight work trip for some training and it was the first time in 15 years that he and his wife spent the night apart; at about 15 years into their marriage). Big thing is to sit down with your spouse/SO and hash things out. Most of the time I tend to imagine that my wife thinks things are a bigger deal than she actually does. Like my first RCon. I had been planning to go as I was finally on shore duty and could take leave and then they announced that it fell on our anniversary weekend, I told her that I would have to miss it, to which she replied that I should go, we could celebrate the anniversary later as had become our tradition (as I invariably was out to sea most the prior dates). Hence Cash, Coporea and others dubbing her Awesome Wife. Mostly Mrs Hamster and I work like this too, though we haven't been together as long as Dilvish and Awesome Wife. On the other hand, we've been in a small NYC apartment together pretty much non-stop since March, so we both appreciate a little "alone" time. As for chores, they get done before hobby stuff. This morning I got my score for the CPA FAR exam. 73%. Needed a 75% to pass. Honestly that was better than I was expecting, but... Broccoli. Now I have to take the elfing thing over again. And I cancelled D&D last night because my brain was goo dribbling out of my head. Working early and late every day this week, and just... If it wasn't for the imminent arrival of Baby Hamster, 2020 would just be the worst. Coffee.... maybe with whiskey...
