I came home & for some reason decided to rake mine all up

This is why we have a leaf blower, which I used today. My dad scoffed at me when I told him to get the electric instead of the gas-powered, ranted about how he needed the gas-powered (my main concern was that the electric would be quieter, as he has hearing loss but refuses to do anything about it)... we got the electric and he loves it. Even works on light snow.

Sat down and came up with a list and grocery list for like almost a month's worth of meals. I've picked lots of crockpot stuff as well as some instant pot things so that Husband can do most of the cooking. Need to deep clean the fridge and actually acquire said groceries. I'm doing whatever I can to get as much writing time in as possible and seeing as I should probably only use my computer upstairs vs. the laptop I won't have much time in the kitchen anyway.

I hired a tree service to get some dead limbs out of a tree out back today. Before they showed up with their truck a utility crew arrived and started tearing up the alley to do work on a water line in roughly the same spot they need to park. About ten minutes after those two crews got their trucks sorted out a plumbing crew showed up to work on the condos across the alley that have been sitting around with no work done for months now. Right now they're all back there trying to figure out how everyone is going to fit their vehicles into a space that really should only have one truck in it to begin with.

I believe this is what's known as a clustertruck.

Sounds like a synopsis for a Benny Hill sketch.

Looks like I'm finally getting that airbrush soon... Now to just figure out whether to go with the Iwata HP-CS (as a kit that's $10 more, but comes with hose, lube, and cleaner) or the Grex TG5.

I've got an Iwata HP-CS and it's hands down the best airbrush I've ever owned. Any problems I have with it is purely down to my inherent clumsiness.

One thing that I'd definitely recommend for any airbrush is getting at least one extra needle for it. They are super delicate and it's really easy to dent or bend one ever so slightly when you're not used to cleaning them.

Heard back from the doctor about Dixie (sooner than I had anticipated, I didn't even get to stress-eat). Mass removal went well, now it's just a matter of waiting for the pathology results to see what comes next (fingers crossed for best results). I can pick her up tomorrow morning, then begins the next two weeks worth of keeping medications straight, having sleep schedules interrupted for random potty times, etc. She'll have to go back in to have her external stitches removed.

Now if I can just keep dad from worsening himself...

Glad Dixie is doing well, hopefully her diagnosis is a positive one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Thank you! I just called to check on her since she's away from home for the night, and it is thundering. She hates the thunder, but the building has it muffled. Ate her meal without hesitating and took her meds. I get to pick her up at 10am tomorrow.

Molly's scab on her incision has been flaking off for a few days, but today I saw some fresh blood for the first time. It stopped quickly, but I had already gone into full panic mode: emailed pics to the vet, called on the phone. Nothing to worry about according to them.

Hasn't been this bad here yet but it's a game I've played often enough.

Ive played that game, numerous times. It gets even more "fun" when you're driving a wind sail of a vehicle (tall cargo van) on highways where there's a good amount of wind. On all season tires, because work won't buy us winter ones. And they haven't sanded yet.

I've lost such games working in an area in town I wasn't used to. Fell four feet into the ditch, thankfully a local shop worker was about to leave, saw me barely keeping it upright as I tried to get back on the road, and towed me out.  Apparently it's a common sight there, since the side of the road changes regularly, and the ditches fill up with said snow pretty quickly.

I think that's one of the main reasons I'm contemplating the Iwata HP-CS...  Many have commented on its durability, and being relatively novice friendly too. Trigger definitely seemed to be nice when I tried one.

I have this foreboding feeling I'm going to wind up buying two airbrushes to start - the Grex TG5 for grunt work (like say spraying down terrain), and the HP-CS for more detail oriented work... But also because I honestly can't decide which of the two I feel I would prefer.

Spare needle definitely sounds like a lovely idea. I think this is also why much as I'd love to give Badger a try for my first brush, not many stock them in Canada, especially spare parts.  Iwata I know of at least two places that have parts, and one that carries Grex.

With "Danger" literally as their middle name... Could be either. But it's definitely a child.

The bartenders are the original voice actors...

How have I not seen this before?!  Pinky and the Brain and PMJ?

And then to get Rob and Maurice on top of it all?

Rob was actually at a local con a few years back.  I still regret not going there and getting him to autograph my P&tB DVDs (well, a box or something).

Yeah, I put good winter tires on the vehicles the wife drives. Without them I even scared myself a few times. My truck has all seasons because it's 4x4. It'll move forward unless I'm bellied out in a bad drift which has happened but sometimes stopping is not quite what I'd hope for. Just a couple days ago I made a really wild turn at a stop sign when I stepped on the brakes and she said, "Naw, not right now." Luckily traffic here is almost nonexistant a lot the time.

four wheel drive does not equal four wheel stop. A lesson a number of folks around here seem to need to relearn every winter. 'Am I on the road" is a game I do not like, and is part of why I don't drive much in the winter. I've had the slip and slide feeling a few times, and it scares me too much.

Oh I've got one of those, even has a mulcher attachment to it. Just somedays, you just wanna be outside in the backyard with very little noise going on. It was actually nice today, outside with a short sleeve shirt. Mornings the last couple have been cold, like lower 30s. It's cold right now.

Thumper is inside as well. While she's stayed outside in weather like this, with us having her fully in our care now, we decided she wasn't going to be outside when it got real cold. I think she is enjoying herself this time around. She even enjoys it more if you put a warm from the dryer towel in her pop up cage (made for a medium size dog) we put her in at night. We let her roam the house in the day.
