I reckon the NaNo thread has kinda devolved to me talking to myself, so.

Please to be sharing in my joy or whatever now.

Good work!

While the wave of inspiration might return, looks like I'll have to be content with the 50 or so pages I've gotten done so far. Which is still more than what I had, so I can't complain. Like with painting, the inspiration comes and goes as it will, so publishing anything I manage to come up with hasn't ever really been a thought, from the looks of things it would be posthumous if at all, I've been chipping away for over 20 years at it by now and it's only recently that I've begun to get a solid grasp on getting a structured version down.

What does Nyheter mean?

I really don't get the gag. I see six A model Royal Norwegian Air Force F-16 fighters, accompanied by their tanker, escorting a civilian livery Scandinavian Airlines passenger jet…

I am guessing the King of Norway was on the civilian jet?

Okay, whoever released this picture is going to be in for some serious pain. This experimental suit remains classified by order of the Quisitors Rodentia.

Thank you all for your thoughts and warm wishes. It sucks, but it was time. The apartment feels emptier though. I keep going to avoid stepping in the spots she'd usually lay, wanting to make her bowl of food, give her her vitamins... Alice is worried and low key upset. I know she doesn't understand why we didn't bring Lucy home, and I can't explain it to her...

In happier news, the Hamsterling continues to grow. The pediatrician is happy with his progress, and he got his first round of vaccines yesterday. Science FTW!

In further happier news, I have off for the Thanksgiving holiday until Monday. 5 glorious days off.... Didn't manage to get a turkey thigh, so we're doing lamb roast instead.

Anyway, the Hamsterling has settled, so back to bed for me.

Yeah, @haldir, I think I'm in the same boat, although I don't think I have Krampus at all, so he'd be a nice pickup.

As I look over at my mountains of containers and boxes and drawers and cabinets and racks and shelves and buckets and store displays filled with unpainted minis (not joking on any of that), I wonder why I would have any desire to pick up any more especially since I've killed off any Christmas gift ideas for decades.

Except I decided to paint a unicorn for the neighbor girl down the street who convinced her parents to buy an 8' tall unicorn Christmas lawn decoration. And Reaper's out of stock on the one figure I am trying to buy (Bones, 77029) as the intent is for her to play with it so metal won't really be a good things. *sigh* Perhaps.

That, and I just upped my Bones 5 pledge with figures that didn't grab me then, but figure wth now. Plus a power up or two that didn't make it in initially and I didn't pay any attention to afterwards.

Odd you say it's OoS, as the Wizkids Unpainted one is also OoS. It' become the next Beholder mini for them. Last time I seen it listed on the Bay of E, sellers wanted old Beholder prices for it........

I think anther factor with buying a ton of minis is, I have 3d printers that are working, so it kinda cuts mine enthusiasm for minis a bit. I'll probably go after the Norkers or whatever those new goblin-esqe minis are as I like those & I probably won't wait till a in-person ReaperCon again to acquire them.

This was one of the first things I thought of, when you said Lucy wasn't doing so good. Hard to convey that to pets who wants to know why their companion isn't there anymore. It's funny when we had 2 neighborhood bunnies (Thumper & a smaller long hair black & white one) they'd go everywhere together. After the black & white got hit by a car, we knew we couldn't Thumper roam anymore & started to make sure the gate was closed. My daughter insisted on burying that bunny in the backyard (of course under the lilac bush - turning into a memorial tree....) but later that day were I had dug, Thumper was laying on the spot.

While I'm not sure if she was doing that cause of the upturned dirt or if she knew her companion was there, it was a sight to see. Now the bunny like to put her paws up on one of those draft guard door pillow & plops her butt on the heating vent when she is inside.

There are at least 8 aircraft involved in that shot. One 737 [? but it is hard to tell] Six F-16A, and the camera ship, tanker seemed likely, but an F-16B is another thought.

Technically they're F-16 A 'MLU3' or 'MLU4' so they're equivalent to Block40/50 planes. (F-16C/D)

Yes, it's a 737.  It's either a 737-700 or 737-800. I'm guessing that it's the 800 since it has winglets.

(SAS was a bit slow on the uptake on that point)

And the footage was definitely shot from an F-16.

Shaved my head today! Did it for a Hair for Hope initiative I started. Was reminded why I did it when I saw news that a 6th grade boy died after his PSLE (Board exams) finished this year. Saw on Instagram a young woman who need carbon ion treatment in Japan to treat her cancer in her face. Reading good @Kangaroorex's thread made me want to show solidarity in whatever way I can. I don't regret shaving my head one bit.

And as an aside, @Pezler the Polychromatic was right when he said my last Warhammer purchase this year probably wouldn't be the last. Dagnabbit!!

There's always the alternative of smashing your keyboard with your palm, or letting your cat walk over it.

Then claim any irregularities were lost in translation.

What are we, Welsh?

In other news, I'm looking at changing jobs. I've about had it with where I work and I was already going to look for a new job earlier this year, but then the plague happened, and a bunch of other stuff. Getting a new job during a pandemic will be something to see, I'm sure. I'm also going to be trying to get back into my writing and getting that out there. Of course, all I seem to want to write is [censored] so that should sell. I already have a pen name (which isn't connected to this alias)...

You could just sit with her and explain it anyways. They are smarter than they let on. It's always helped to ease my grief when I explain it; when Abby left us, I did that for my black lab Carly and when I broke down crying, she nuzzled closer and licked my tears away. It sure helped me. Just love on Alice as much as possible. Thoughts are with you.

Taking your word for it.

Some of the videos on that page (all the ones with the planes) were labeled with a phrase that ended:

”... utenfor Norge”

Is that “only for Norway” or “item for Norway”?

BL: They declined to play.

'Utenfor' = Outside...

I'm trying to find a site that allows everyone to view it, but so far, no luck.

Just because dogs don’t reply in Words does not mean they don’t understand Words.

Proving they do not Means proving a negative. :upside: It couldn’t hurt.
