Randomness XVII: The Madness of the Quorum

Recommended Posts

A part of me can't quite believe I've lost most of the day to a completely, totally silly anime that makes absolutely no sense, but pmenty at the same time...

Gundam Build Fighters.

Oh well, it's been fun to watch, so there's always that I suppose ^_^

Yup.

So, in thinking about how to raise the Hamsterling, one thing I've been thinking about is music, and wanting to make sure he's exposed to a LOT of it, and a wide variety of it. So... I found a list. Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. I'm a couple of albums into it, and have the thought that maybe I should record my thoughts on each? If nothing else, it's something else I can write about for my blog, though this definitely falls well outside what I usually write about. And I can't imagine I'll be writing more than a sentence or two for each.

Yah I failed big time with my son as far as music goes, but he is his own, so at least I'm proud there.

Snow, snow & more freaking snow......let's get a season worth in a week in late February instead!!

I kept our freezer food safe by putting bags of snow in there.

I was gonna get a box of some sort, take whatever I cared about keeping cold, shove it in there, and set it on the back porch if the power had failed. It was below freezing out there.

Hope it stays for the second hit this weekend.

It is supposed to go up above freezing by  Friday….? Should be a touch less cold in your neck of the woods. So good news?

On today's date in history:

  • 1674 – England and the Netherlands sign the Treaty of Westminster, ending the Third Anglo-Dutch War. A provision of the agreement transfers the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam to England, and it is renamed New York.

  • 1985 – William J. Schroeder becomes the first recipient of an artificial heart to leave the hospital.

I have.... beekeeperish opinions about dogs like huskies living in climates like Texas, but that  really was pretty cute.
