(the guy I want is the candle bearer, but I'm gonna glue the "cage" around his face area as that is how I seen it while looking for info on their green "ghost" paint.)

I think the guy holding his own skull is kinda neat.

Problem with that is GW has switched to non-D&D friendly base now, so I'd just be getting things I wouldn't even use.

Note: I just noticed there are small amount of 25mm bases on there.

I was going to say, I checked their site before posting, and saw small packs of round 25mm bases. Or buy a single large base for a big boss mini. I personally don't mind if a 130mm is slightly bigger than a 5-inch base.

I do agree though, GW switching bases to a random sized base was ridiculous. 32mm? You really needed to make it 2mm bigger than any other competitor, just to ensure buying from you? I also saw a pack of 28.5mm round bases available. Crazy.

What uses those?

When they went all AoSigggy what had been on 20x20 squares bumped up to 25mm rounds; what had been on 25x25mm squares bumped up to the  32s.

Those were on GWorkslop?

1674 – England and the Netherlands sign the Treaty of Westminster, ending the Third Anglo-Dutch War. A provision of the agreement transfers the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam to England, and it is renamed New York

Ah, so that's why olde New York was once New Amsterdam.

But why did Constantinople get the works?

That's nobody's business but the Turks!

Can anybody hear those song lyrics without thinking of the music video Tiny Toons did for that song in the 90s (assuming you were of an age to watch that cartoon)?

I also think of the first role I saw Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Jannister) in when I hear New Amsterdam: a short-lived TV series aptly named New Amsterdam. He played a 300+ year-old Dutch colonist who was killed fighting the English, then cursed/blessed with immortality by the native tribes. Wasn't bad, but wasn't different enough from other police procedural shows back in 2008.

I mostly think of boring class trips to one of the colonial dutch farm houses in the next town over.

Those were much less fun than the trip to the old forge with all it's dropped cannon balls.

Came across a new YouTube channel today - Duplessy & the Violins of the World. It's an ensemble consisting of guitar, Chinese erhu, Mongolian horsehair and Swedish nyckelharpa. Very nice combination.

We came across it because SWMBO had a random thought - "I wonder if there's a Chinese orchestra version of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly..."

I remember watching that episode and it was one of the most surreal experiences of my life (at the time). Those Might Be Giants were popular with my friends in high school.
