Is Tempered Masonite crazy expensive?  (Were it me, I would have considered just nailing a piece of it to that wall.)

For a single sheet, no.

For a whole wall, you might want to investigates some alternatives.

Tempered Masonite is the Masonite that has one side treated so that it has a very hard and smooth surface.  I think it's a process that involves oiling the surface and then subjecting it to heat and pressure.  But don't quote me on that as it's been decades since I last looked up how it's made.

Who is "home" from Stagecoach right now.

How did you determine the cat wouldn’t have enjoyed a dark Belgian ?  I guess I can Google, “is beer bad for cats?”

So apparently wine or beer is dangerously bad for cats...like chocolate is for dogs. But worse.

Yes, cats have a small liver and cannot eat many things that humans do.

Today was amazing as the temperature here hit 74 degrees! Last Tuesday it was minus one! Nearly all of the 14-16 inches of snow we had is now melted. A quite remarkable turn around.

@redambrosia try drinking some cranberry juice to keep from repeat visits from the Kidney Stone Fairy.

Also .. AGE, Cypher, Numenera, The Strange, Shadowrun, World of Darkness ... I've got (literally) shelves full of books for systems or settings I wanna play. Group? What group?

I am suffering a different issue.  The main group I have will play in a number of systems but I swear it's because no 1 world can hold their chicanery!  Also they seem to have a hard time with being sane thinking beings.  Sometimes I think they are more dangerous to the town than to the monsters!

But in the last year we've played CoC, Numenera, 13th age, 7th Sea, pathfinder star wars, dishonored, and one or two others.  The two problems are, I seem to be the GM all the time and they have problems when the plot evolves beyond scorched earth!

Well, I wouldn’t say normal. The pain has increased as the day has worn on. I’m beginning to doubt if I’ll be able to return to work tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that, hope you feel better soon.  Of all the nasty side effects. Of living that is one of the worst.  At least gout can be controlled and reversed.  This stuff just has to pass and that hurts!

I would not have guessed.  I've known some 20 year old feline wings in my time but there are always exceptions.  I don't think dousing the cat is really the same as dosing the cat though::P:

Our Wednesday walk through the history of today's date:

  • 1854 – A Penny Red (a stamp in the UK) with perforations became the first perforated postage stamp to be officially issued for distribution.
  • 1876 – The stage première of Peer Gynt, a play by Henrik Ibsen with incidental music by Edvard Grieg, took place in Christiania (Oslo), Norway.

  • 1980 – The United States Olympic hockey team completed its Miracle on Ice by defeating Finland 4–2 to win the gold medal.

So apparently one of my new hires has a nickname among the other instructors. 'Viking'.

Yes she is blonde. She's also tiny. Tinier than my 5 foot lol self. She earned this nickname when she had a baby and showed up for training the next day.

So Murphy escaped the world of the Dresden Files and entered ours? This could explain some things....

Spoiler

Okay, so Murphy never had a child in the books, but the whole tiny, blond and fierce, with the Viking angle...who else could this be?

No worries, soaking the cat in beer is not the same as giving them a beer to drink. He appears to have forgiven me though. That or he is just biding his time and plotting some sort of elaborate revenge.

He probably smelled better than Loki did last night! Unlike your poor, innocent wee cat, he stole most of the cheesy crust on a pan of macaroni cheese and had a predictably stinky/foul reaction. We ended up giving him a bath. Thankfully he's a good boy, let us clean him and then went and picked a fight with his brother. He's now sleeping it off after getting some paste from the vet.

Pizza Hut has come up with a pizza with tapioca pearls, brown sugar milk tea sauce, marshmallows and mozzarella cheese.

Of course, I will buy it.

I will post about it in a day or two.

And I thought the KFC Chicken and Gravy pizza they're touting in these parts sounded bad...
