Coffee...

Hamsterling decided to skip his first nap this morning, and spend the entire time crying. :zombie: He's finally down. I pray this nap lasts more than 20ish minutes.

makes you wish chloroform was safer

Hope you get a long break to get some time to yourself

My daughter will not live down her “stomachs” explanation. See, she had a dinner stomach and a dessert stomach. The dinner stomach was full but the dessert stomach was empty, so she needed dessert!

I did something similar when I was a kid. Once I had eaten everything I liked, I would say my stomach was "this full", putting my hand far above my head.

And then dessert would roll around and I'd say I was hungry again, but no, I had to eat my veggies first... <_<

Pizza Hut has come up with a pizza with tapioca pearls, brown sugar milk tea sauce, marshmallows and mozzarella cheese.

Of course, I will buy it.

I will post about it in a day or two.

I'm also very curious. I'd certainly try it, but I'm not sure I'd pay for the... privilege.

I've let my friend know about this, since she's crazy about bubble tea. I look forward to hearing about the experience.

Also, I'm here to ruin your day. This is one of the most unsettling, disgusting things I've ever seen. And I thought I liked sharks.

I'm sorry.

I am in a decent mood and so I will not click on your link. I'd like to finish the day without wanting to ask WWTDD.*

Oh.. yah. Deadlands. I want to try that.

Mention it? *crickets* . . no. Not *crickets*, actually. More like *dead crickets*

*sigh*

Also .. AGE, Cypher, Numenera, The Strange, Shadowrun, World of Darkness ... I've got (literally) shelves full of books for systems or settings I wanna play. Group? What group?

Sadly, there's now three different versions of Deadlands, not to mention the four different eras, so finding a group for the one you like might be harder. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the original system (but can freely admit that it has flaws) in the Weird West. That said, Wasted West has a strong appeal and I really want to try Noir.

Unfortunately, running the original system (or even the Savage Worlds versions) is almost impossible. I am yet to find a Discord bot that can handle dealing cards, rolling dice and keeping only the highest, and letting it "explode," as well as keeping track of wounds on hit locations and Wind loss. Deadlands is an "in person only" game for me. However, if I can ever get to ReaperCon in person, I'd be more than willing to run some one-shot games.

And then you mentioned World of Darkness. I still dabble with ideas and notes for a Hunter: The Reckoning game that I really want to play. But due to the very problematic content (racism, sexism, violence of all different types, etc) in the books, I have to be extremely choosy about the people I would play with. Personally, I file it under "product of edgelords in the late 90/early 2000s" and ignore the parts that get offensive. Some people might not be able to do that, and I completely understand. I just need to make sure that I've played with or really know the players well.

ShadowRun is one of those games that I really like the idea of but haven't found a version of the rules I like, as the "good ones" are long out of print. I could recreate it using my massive d20 Modern collection, use some Savage Worlds books, or just use GURPS. I might have to re-visit those ideas...

And now for your picture:

Good choice.

It's not sad or anything, just weird and gross.

With such vids I always wonder if it's a hoax/fabrication of some sorts.

It probably is.

The good news is, it's officially made "Baby Shark" a thousand times worse!

Surprisingly not the worst or weirdest mutation I've ever seen. It's only really disturbing when they live.

Story time: Back when I used to work around wild animals we had someone bring in a clutch of juvenile Screech Owls without eyes that the parents had abandoned. They were pretty malnourished and we were only able to save one. We kept it as a permanent resident in the education center and when you were working it would follow you around the room with these completely empty sockets. The owl's facial disc focuses sound to their ears so it was actually listening to our movements and not looking at us. But if you didn't know that then it was a creepy, eyeless, undead looking owl staring directly at you wherever you moved and no matter how quiet you thought you were being. Definitely freaked some people out. Otherwise it was a normal bird, but man it gave me the willies. Eventually I got used to him and would let him ride around on my shoulder while I cleaned out cages. Which actually kind of freaked people out a little more.

New pasta idea: Reaperoni.

The Denton, Texas treat?

Spoiler

A Rice-a-Roni reference, for those who don't get it. The old TV jingle called it the San Francisco treat.

Sounds like more of a pepperoni brand... which is all fun and jokes until the product shows up in stores and we notice Reaper staff suddenly start disappearing...
