489,781 minis on the wall, 489,781 minis, take one down, paint...

oh no the printer is finished again.

489,790 minis on the wall, 489,790 minis....

I've been careful to try and stay somewhat close to my printing with my painting. I'm only a couple dozen minis and several buildings behind. We won't talk about the hundreds of minis I bought over the last 30 years that aren't painted yet.

On my desktop,

My quiet desktop,

My PC sleeps tonight....

It slept for a little bit longer than originally planned due to a certain fox completely forgetting to put various drivers onto a USB stick.  Turns out Windows 10 Pro can't recognize Intel 2.5Gbit network interface cards.  Oops.

Oh well, I worked on a gunpla kit in the meantime as hubby was asleep, and then hubby was all "y'know, you could have just woken me up and I'd have downloaded them for you"...  But I didn't want to wake him up.

This reminds me of a subscriber voice clip you can taunt Thunderhead with...

99 bottles of paint on the wall,

99 bottles of paint...

Take one down, shake it around..

... *confused pause*

... A hundred and fifty... bottles... of... Paint.. On the wall...

So a year ago today (the 12th, it was a Thursday last year) work sent everyone home, and told us to bring everything we'd need to be work from home for... some undefined period of time. At this point, there is no specific point they're expecting to have people back in the office.

*sigh

*stands, raises mug off coffee

Here's to...

*lowers mug, looks off into the middle distance.

*takes a sip from the mug, and sits down

That would be an interesting documentary to watch.

An idea has come into my head....

Inspired by a joke I saw, an elephant PC for D&D. Perhaps Rogue?

If it makes it's stealth roll, no one would be able to talk about the elephant in the room... *ba-dump-ching*

Friday afternoon...

(15:43 here right now)

Right now I WISH I was WFH....

Just shut down a server, and will spend the next hour or so waiting for electricians to switch the power back on at that location...

Because someone has to verify that it survived whatever the sparks are doing to the AC grid in that building.

I still haven’t met my coworkers on the new project yet. And now that it’s been a year, I can technically get a new position, thus the potential for having worked on something and never set foot in the project building.

What’s that curse again? About interesting times?

Hundreds?

[Looks at cases and cases of minis around apartment]

For many of us, your estimate needs one more zero at the end.
