Good thoughts @Glitterwolf maybe offer coffee or lunch for the return to give you control of the location.

Of they are just returning their lost property, I would reward Good behavior, either in coffee lunch or cash.

Ah, it's at an office at school so I'm not sure if I'll ever know who the person who actually brought it there is. Will eternally be grateful to them though.

I'm glad it was found and recoverable. Hopefully things run more smoothly for you for a while :).

Thank you so much! 🙂 I hope you're doing well.

Poor Grump.

Poor me.

We'd both forgotten what Finals Week is like, when some serious crunching is needed to pass.

I'd gotten used to classes I could pass even when I left my brain at home to watch the kiddo.

And the new classes are a lot mathier than I was used to.

BUT I think I did okay on both of them. But cramming was rough.

Bigger BUT, I think I may take ZBrush next year. It's a lot more expensive, but a lot less crunchy.

Scary thing, I wasn't the oldest stident in either class, but I'm pretty sure the oldsters smoked my broccoli. Both were people changing directions, like me, but they were already career computer people, addings art to their portfolios.

Got home afterwards and crashed and burned. Woke up to cinnamon rolls, ate the cinnamon rolls, then slept until five this morning.

A couple of days ago FIL was out here with...someone (I didn't meet them) and they took down a couple of trees. Yesterday, FIL came to remove the loose branches. We were expecting someone to come by today to cut up the logs left over for firewood. I had no problem with that until at almost 8 this morning (it is now 9). Just after 8 hit and the chainsaw started. Of course all of this is going on right outside of my bedroom. Gonna be a long Friday.

Dinner tonight:

I fried little potatoes in one pan, ground beef, garlic, red bell pepper and zucchini in the other.

Added tomato paste and Enchilade Seasoning mix then threw it all together.

Some jalapenos and grated cheese on the side, some cucumber and nacho cheese doritos with guacomole.

Dessert: icecream.

Somehow I've managed to lose 15 pounds over the last two months without trying.  The last time that happened it was when my colitis was at its worst, which is not the case these days.

As I think about it, the two biggest changes I've made are that I started drinking milk again despite being told it's bad for my blood sugar and have been having lunches of cashews, cheese and raisins a lot lately.

You set up an extra place at the table for me, right? 🙂 That looks and sounds delicious.

Got my first shot of the vaccine today. It was a mess outside as they just started doing walk-ins for the vaccine. So, you know, no planning or crowd control or anything outside. Once I was inside, it was a well oiled machine. Setting up my second shot might be a problem, as the system didn't see far enough and they "don't do appointments on Fridays." I wasn't aware I had warped time and space to make it possible so I didn't have to miss work or sleep to get my shot. :upside:

Do you salt your roads to combat snow and ice build-up?  Is getting that corrosive grit off the vehicles a motivator?  Do car automated washes typically try to rinse the frame and underside clean?

(Down at my latitude the answers are: Rarely, Not really, Never)

Here salt isn't used anywhere near as much as sand and gravel, although the city started experimenting with some calcium thing a few years ago despite all the engineers saying DON'T DO THIS.  Of course, the various reports were found six months after being sent in, and the bigwigs were all trying to play off that they were never sent..  Giant fiasco there, to say the least, doubly so because that calcium stuff gunks up the underside of your vehicles like crazy.

But yeah, given the colder, drier weather here sand is the main thing used, as it provides traction, which is the most important thing.  Reason why so many hit the car wash?  Sand has a really bad habit of steadily gunking up things like your wheels, making it harder to brake, or worse, affecting the alignment of your wheels - and it builds up fairly quickly in your wheel wells too.

Build up of gunk means not only possibly worse braking and handling, but higher fuel consumption, plus that crud is not fun to have brush up against your arm or clothes...

There's nothing quite like a pressure washer to clean that crud out.

Okaaaaaay, a couple weeks ago our internet crashed and we finally got our provider to send someone out. When the guy showed up he replaced everything and laid a new cable. Told us they would be out to bury the cable. Took them 2 weeks to show up Wednesday and for some reason they only did about half of it. They left without any reason given or notice. Okay, why?

Sounds like it.

Had an electric co guy here a week ago asking about the new line we needed to have buried.  You mean the one we had replaced a year ago?  Yup, that one.

Welp. I entered the world once again today and did a little shopping. Feels weird to be in a room with people, I tell you hwat. My nerves continue to be shook with the plague fear. Can report however that ammo availability is much improved but holy crap prices are through the roof.

There's beginning to be some talk of in-store gaming again, as well. But... Mm.
