Do you know someone who is handy enough to install such a part?

It might be cheaper to buy the part and install it yourself ( or a friend)...

Maybe, I'm not totally sure off the top of my head. I'm not sure how much labor will be but it looks like the part ( if I'm looking at the right thing) is like 200$ which isn't terrible. I'm more frustrated by the fact that this dishwasher isn't a year and a half old yet...

No warranty?

In the Netherlands such a device is at least under warranty for 2 years.

Oh, yeah, the average user still doesn't really understand that OS matters. ::(:

I thought society was getting better at that after the years of Mac vs PC commercials, but somewhere along the line it reversed course.

Yesterday was a Monday, to be sure.

My boss decided it was a day to stay in bed. So I was acting manager and didn't know it. We got a hundred million dollar plus cases dropped on us, and by us I mean me because guess who was in charge that day. I had to get them distributed along with everything else. Another team we're working with has decided to start rejecting work Because They Feel Like It again.

Need more coffee. Need more pay, too.

A former MMO buddy told me warranties are just another Socialist ploy to destroy the economy. Yes, it was part of a long rant so far down all kinds of rabbit holes I'm pretty sure the alt-right would call him crazy. Definitely enough I decided to walk away from.

Might have something to do with how most major apps have iOS and Android versions. I'd bet money a lot of people think the only difference is which app store carries them.

Without ModvisionTM , we are still on p996.

Yeah. Going by what the site showed me, we somehow lost a page earlier today. Right after I tried broccoli's broccoli without noticing it was an animated GIF. I'm sure there's a perfectly legitimate reason to wear a tinfoil hat in that coincidence.

It has/had a warranty. I think it was only 1 year though and we got this in January of last year. If it's a longer warranty I can't find paperwork that confirms that.

I started my new position at the front desk yesterday!

Except kinda not really because none of my logins for the different programs are set up yet. IT assures me they are "working on it." Also, the other member of my old team had to leave early because he wasn't feeling well, so I had to handle all of his stuff, plus some of my old stuff, plus various people trying to teach me New Stuff.

It was, as they say, a DAY. :zombie:

Same situation today, but I'm handling it a bit better. It's still frustrating to be caught between two different jobs; haven't quite left the old one, but can't quite do the new one yet. Honestly, it's exactly what I expected, but my OCD brain really prefer clean-cut transitions.

Huzzah!

You might want to inquire with your local consumer protection office. I'm not entirely sure, but think WA was one of the US states that limit disclaimering out of implied warranty, which probably is longer than a year for white goods. (I had to do some research on this a while back when at out office, the question came up whether "the US even have consumer protection".)

Especially as the tinfoil hat actually serves as an antenna for the mind-control rays we're absolutely not broadcasting from an undisclosed location near you.

Check the manufacturers web site for a copy of the warranty.

Worth a shot.  One year seems awfully short for something like a pump assembly.
