Is it the responsibility of the sender or the receiver to photograph the minis? (asking for a friend)

Of the finished minis? Neither really. Most senders take photos so they can post in the show off section later or to just have record of it. A lot of receivers though take photos to share here when they receive it so we all can see. But a finished photo is not requirement for the exchange, just a WIP one.

I don't think either has to photograph the minis. I always photograph the things that I paint, especially as I am giving them away, so I can remember what they looked like.

I have always in the past also taken photos of the minis I have received. I appreciate someone painting for me and like to show off my treasures!

I'm sorry for posting this so late, I got caught up in a depressive episode but I finally managed to sit down and get painting.

To be on the safe side, I painted it all in one go. Here's the finished model:

So sorry about the sword!  It was a hand  swap with a different model, so that was a weak point.  I should have pinned it.  I hope it's an easy fix!!  Still, it did travel a fair distance so I'm glad that's all that happened : )  Enjoy!  I had fun painting it while re-watching the entire extended cut trilogy!

I now take pictures of all my work when I send it out so if the recipient forgets or doesn't have a camera, lightbox, or something else, I will still have pictures

What if we totally forgot a WIP photo and are finished?...Asking for a friend?  

Should be sending out as soon as I get some photos taken.

 

Also, what if I totally got off track and didn't use a Reaper product(s)?  Just painted with Reaper paints?  I'm a mess ...

It is fine. 

 

Also not using a Reaper mini is fine as well. While we want Reaper to be the focus, sometimes a mini from another company is just too perfect to resist using. If a lot of people started not doing a Reaper mini, it might become an issue but one or two is ok.
