After about half an hour of searching, the shifter managed to find tracks that he believed to be Kyme's. Vic vaguely recognized this place to be the one where the ranger was last seen stalking something. The tracks led deeper into the forest then suddendly disapeared altogether. The companions were once again deep into the cursed wood. The air grew heavier and an eery feeling crept over the group.

Adermar cursed again more loudly this time, "His tracks stop here, either he began to cover his own tracks out of some fear created by these woods, or something else has destroyed his tracks and lured us here." Adermar cut two x's one under the other on the nearest tree, so he remained certain of their position then he pushed his kukri into his boot sheath and withdrew his two swords. Almost all his hairs were standing on end, "There is only one more thing I can do to possibly find his trail, but I didn't want to use it now." Adermar made a kind of snarling noise the kind more akin to a wolf than a man and then Adermar's whole appearance took a strange turn, his well kept, if long, hair came loose, the stubble on his face became darker and suddenly there was nowhere on his forearm where you would see flesh it was all black hair. To Adermar the whole world took a shift, suddenly he could see smells like they were people, he searched out for Kyme, but also for any kind of enemy ...

Vic clutched the handle of his sword. He recognized the eery aura of the woods, and readied himself for any sort of attack of signs of hostility.

"Be careful, Adermar. Don't get too far away from us." he said. The Warforged turned to face the rest of the group.

"Have your weapons ready, all of you. Those hags can attack us at any moments" he warned the group.

Gund stares in silence at the shifter, trying not to be sick. He readies his staff and looks about, but his eyes can't help but stray to Adermar. The dwarf has never seen the likes of this wolfman before, and doesn't entirely trust him, but he trusts Vic, and Vic seems to think they aren't in danger from their new companion.

Noticing that the group has paused Ismark heads over to were they are, upon seeing Adermar shift he stops, the hairs on his arms stand on ends and his eyes go wide

I’ve heard talk of such things in taverns, they were right, it is something that must be witness with ones own eyes

Shaking the goose bumps away he looks about, even up towards the trees, then Ismark watches Adermar to see what he’ll do in his shifted form

Even with his enhanced sense of smell, Adarmar couldn't find any trace of Kyme. From the myriad of different smells in the forest, the shifter-ranger detected one that he hasn't quite smelled before. A sweet almost perfume-like smell...

For the rest of the group, the scariest thing right now may be the shifter himself.

Adermar crouched to the ground almost on all four and sniffed at the air, but for him it was much more than just a sniff, he was taking in the whole area around him, he turned suddenly on the group, his canine fangs hanging over his bottom lip. "Your friend is not near us, but there is something near by. Try and keep up, keep marking the trees, I'll go ahead make sure this trail doesn't elude us like the previous one." And then he burst into action, he barely even raised up to an up right state he just seemed to run with his body crouched, maybe even using his hands to propel him faster forward. Adermar was tracking the smell, baring down on it, swords still in his hands, running sometimes bounding along the floor; he took in all the smells around still searching out for some trace of the other Ranger ...

The smell grew stronger and stronger and now it seemed to be coming from right behind the bushes in front of the shifter. Adermar heard what he thinks to be a little hitch pitched laughter. The rest of the group stood on their guard watching the shifter from a dozen paces away.

Adermar is off an running before Ismark has a chance to ask what he's pickup. Ismark calls out as a starts off after Adermar

"BE ON YOUR GUARD, IT MAY BE A DECEPTION"

Watching as the ranger picks up speed he wonders if he even heard him.

"damit! if it's not Kyme then why the hell is he going after it "

it seems no one gives a damn to what I said before we came in here

Adermar came at what was almost a run, he could go faster but this was pretty fast, towards the laughing bush the words of Ismark echoed in the back of his mind it may be a deception. He took the words on board and with the natural skill of a Shifter he leapt over the bush and turned in the air, hoping to land behind, and facing, whatever creeping creature had lured him to that location. His two swords were sharpened and at the ready!
