It was out of stock but like the bag & Kaladrax offerings, I never heard of these being announced. I will admit, I probably wouldn't have ordered the Mystery bag due to the price. $30 bucks is a tad bit more then I'd like to spend for a grab bag of stuff. TGP Posted June 23, 2020 Share Posted June 23, 2020 What I heard,, later, after it was long over, was this: They were cleaning up, organising, inventorying things that had been filed by the shove-it-in-a-box-and-we'll-deal-with-it-later method. And they found all kinds of random leftover items. So, Ed, or somebody, said, let's just divvy all this up into a dozen or so even sized boxes. Make one entry in the webstore for Mystery Box. In Reaper's defence ( @Reaper_Jon ) if they sold out 9 minutes after the first post about it was made to fb there would hardly be time to put the notice elsewhere. Simul-posting to all the different socials, the forums, and discord would be an impressive technical feat. Does anyone suppose there is an app for that? Inarah Posted June 24, 2020 Share Posted June 24, 2020 Yes, there are tools and apps that let you post to multiple social media sites simultaneously, and even schedule news releases in advance so you don't have to be awake at midnight, for example. There was a comment from Jon on the Reaper "fan" FB page that convention swag bags are going up for sale "soon", I hope we see an official announcement when that happens. The recent swag bags seem to be random leftovers from KS and previous cons, with some store swag thrown in. mikem91 Posted June 24, 2020 Share Posted June 24, 2020 To be fair, I was coasting the reaper site and saw them listed in new releases and mentioned it in passing in reaper's discord channel at 1250p edt. they were gone sometime before 2p edt. my random visit to the website and subsequent mention in discord may have preempted reaper's announcement of the mystery bags being available. Dr Bob Posted June 25, 2020 Share Posted June 25, 2020 I was one of those lucky few that just happened to check the Store randomly at the right time; I got one of the Bags Of Randomness. I am beginning to think it was just a fiendish scheme to up the Store traffic, as now I compulsively go and check to see if something new and improved hasn't popped up.
