Goal 1: AT-ST

 

AT-ST Done!  So much effort for something that will probably never see table time.

 

On to the Nagendra!  Three and a half of them hit with Blue Liner today at lunch.  I just need to re-glue an arm and get the others primed...and decide on a paint scheme.  I don't want to just do green.

1] Prep some 1/400 mobile suits.

2] Work on some CAV, possibly tanks to use with 1 above.

3] Do something with the small horde of bones bugbears I have.

A bit late, but my goal for this month is:

1) Get hobbying done...
 

Specifically:

1) Paint Deathclaw for Fallout

2) Print stuff

3) Paint Bones Avatar of Sokar

4) Get 3d printing files sorted in some way so I know what I've actually got!

The Mantic Terraincrate KS arrived so I painted essentially some Sylvanian Family furniture and some spooky trees. 

 

I'm going to see where I get to with the original list. There are quite a few primed and half painted minis on the shelf and it may be that I just pick out a few of them for a while and only work on the Rangers of Shadow Deep bits which I need for a game. 

 

On the gaming, I've now gone through all of the missions up to the latest book "Across the Wastes". I've painted a bunch of minis and made terrain for that so looking forward to a play through.

Goal 1: AT-ST.  DONE!

 

Goal 2: Bones IV Nagendra.  Urghk.  I'm almost done with the Matriarch (ventral scale highlights, head).  The Archer is almost done (leather highlights, scale highlights, bow, arrows).  The Captain is almost (well, like halfway) done (armor detail, scale highlights, ventral scales, swords).  The Warriors and the naginata/glaive/spear-snake are pretty much untouched (ventral scales on the warriors).  Medical issue followup (the PA doesn't get to diagnose in this case, which means I have to do my own research) derailed me, and I lost a week driving myself crazy.  And all those scales...At least the snakes aren't white.

 

Goal 3: Twin Shadows Stormtroopers.   It's not looking good for the 'Troopers.  I'm hoping to get the clean-up and maybe the base coat done.

 

Goal 4: (Bonus Round) Twin Shadows Miscellaneous.  If it's not looking good for the 'Troopers, the odds of me working on the Tuskens, my remaining rebels, or Boba Fett are even longer.

Half month or so update. Mostly I've worked on my counting skills. I said I had about 20 cavalry and 20 infantry left for my russians. I painted 4 cavalry and still have 21 cavalry and 29 infantry (maybe) left. July is usual bad for hobbying for me but rain showers mean I've got a little bit of painting done.

Well I dropped off the map for a while there! Goals back from May (!?) accomplished to the tune of

-8 bad dudes and 3 rad dudes from Artizan/NorthStar
-9 plant monsters from Hydra, 2 from Reaper, and 3 from Crooked Dice
-2 Innsmouth residents, 2 wastelanders, 2 cultists, and a bunch of retro computers from Crooked Dice
-4 slaad/frogmonsters and a big ol' demon from Wizkids
-Dumpster, generator, shipping container, and vending machines, also giant sloth, Fungal Bruiser, barbarian, genie, mad scientist, and ronin from Reaper.
Stretch goals of turning the Brain-in-a-jar into an aquarium, scratch-building some little mushroom guys, and touching up some cheap dollar-store Pleistocene megafauna also accomplished!

Goals for the remainder of July:
-Pygmy Mammoth 
-FINALLY finish Pulp Rocket Sophie

So, in some ways it feels like I didn't get as much as I wanted done this month, but on the flipside, work changed us to a two on one "off" schedule, and then the heat. By the gods the heat.  I wound up not doing hobby related stuff every day, but I still put in an amount of time close to the overall "minimum" of the timeframe I had posted, so I'm calling that even.

 

For August, I'm hoping to run an actual tally, and I might even look into doing the board thing someone else on the forums used to do, where various "jobs" are listed and each mark next to it indicates twenty minutes of work.  Given that I want to work on my speed as well as see where I'm putting my time, I could see this potentially working out, or at least being useful. 

 

Kaldstrom is assembled - Beyond Kaldstrom Yu Jing will be assembled tomorrow, but the other 18 minis are assembled and based, and are pretty much ready for priming.  Haqq and Ariadna minis pretty much didn't get touched, since Kaldstrom took my attention pretty quickly. 

 

Warsenal Cosmica HAB walls are still at 0/4 assembled, however I have a bunch of glue mixed I want to use up, so I'm going to try and get through at least one tomorrow.  For support structures, I have one half of a Neon Lotus set to assemble (four tall building inserts, two cube inserts, and two bridge inserts), and then the eight short buildings that just need to be glued.  If I cleaned up my space a bit, I could probably smash through most of this in an afternoon, doubly so since I already have the wood glue mixed up.
