Dilvish the Deliverer
1 hour ago, TaleSpinner said: Friday, July 10: What's your style; that is, how do you typically dress? Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? Style: Jeans and T-shirt. Pretty much all of the time unless it is hot and humid, in which case I'll put one either jean or cargo shorts. The last couple of weeks of hot weather I have realized that most of my t-shirts are gamer-black and that doesn't do well working in the direct sun so I am on the look out for lighter colors. Original plans for this week end were going to be Middle Duaghter's High School Drive By Graduation Ceremony on Sat, followed by a small grad party on Sunday. The graduation has been postponed to Monday due to weather, and Middle Daughter wants to push the party until after she actually has her diploma in hand. So I now have the weekend free. Maybe DnD on Sat if the others didn't already make plans.

Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? I wear jeans and fandom teeshirts 99% of the time. I've started wearing shorts when it gets hot out. I have a rotating array of t-shirts that show off many of my favorite characters, shows, movies, etc. My fun plans for the weekend are taking Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off. I originally submitted the time off requests so I could potentially attend a political event, and conveniently, I get to avoid the tax-day related mandatory OT at work instead. Yay! Hoping to paint, catch up on my YouTube backlog, and spend a little time with some friends.

Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? At work/in public I'm usually in shorts, a quirky T-shirt, and flip-flops or running shoes. At home I'm usually just in comfy drawstring shorts. My girlfriend is coming to spend the weekend at my place, and I/we might go hashing with some friends on Saturday if she gets enough work done on her paper.
Thoramel
1 hour ago, TaleSpinner said: Friday, July 10: What's your style; that is, how do you typically dress? Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? Style-less? Just jeans and a plain t shirt, or shorts if it's hot. Barefoot as often as possible. Ball cap to keep the sun off my bald head. Most of it is covered in mud stains. It's going to be pushing 100 F (38 C for you folks from more civilized places) with pop up thunderstorms all weekend. And everywhere around here I'd be interested in going to is closing back down again. So I'm planning on staying home. I'll be brewing a couple of batches of beer tomorrow. Going to start with a chocolate porter and then I'm doing a pineapple IPA. Probably do a little gardening, some napping, bit of painting, and maybe even hook up my wife's old PS3 and play some Gran Turismo. I never really play console games but I do enjoy that one. I'll post some homebrewing pictures if I remember.

Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? At work I wear tunic shirts (that hide my fat tummy) and leggings, because that’s the easiest thing to wear when dealing with multiple babies. Outside of work, my preference is for flowy skirts and dresses, but I don’t have a lot of those that fit me right now. This weekend we’re going to a nearby mountain lake with some friends. We got Persephone a swimsuit and some floaties. We’re gonna toss her in and see how it goes.
Morihalda
2 hours ago, TaleSpinner said: Friday, July 10: What's your style; that is, how do you typically dress? Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? At home or nearby, a tank top and shorts. Going out, a plain dress and my docs. I have plenty of clothes ideas and patterns that I'd love to make, but fabric is expensive. I like flowy pieces with minimal lines. And leather jackets. So I've pretty much worn the same shirts and dresses I bought 10 years ago. No big plans for this weekend. Sleep. Figure out why I don't get consistently cold water at the new house. Hopefully start on my mini swap! Unpack the Vive so I can get back to boxing if I'm not too tired. Sleeeeeep.

Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? Style: These days? shorts or pj pants and generally a plain t-shirt. If I have to go out, socks and sneakers, ball cap, mask, cargo shorts and a t-shirt without holes. (my "weekend" wardrobe has become my every day wardrobe, while my work clothes are collection dust...my weekend wardrobe is showing signs of wearing out......I guess shopping is inevitable.....). I start vacation in a few hours. It is a stay at home vacation. It is at the end of the most stressful week of work in the last year. My definite plans include (in no particular order): sleeping, eating Optional plans: watching many races (F1, F2, Indy, even NASCAR), painting and/or assembly minis, some organizing of office/paint room, watching some Clone Wars, wasting time on my PC, petting the cats, reading, puttering in the garage, fiddling with 3D printers That seems like a long enough list that at least a couple things on there won't get done....
TGP
2 hours ago, Morihalda said: Figure out why I don't get consistently cold water at the new house. (I think) I know this one. The answer lies in “mapping” in 3D the path that water took to tumble out of the faucet. Every segment of piping is potentially a different temperature, therefore the water inside is a different temperature. Your house differs from all others. In mine the first few seconds of water is from pipes that are in the walls in the air conditioned space, then the water warms a bit, because it is from the supply line to the house which is shallowly buried, under a hot lawn. The further the water has to travel in pipes that are exposed to AC air the longer the chilled water lasts. Your plumbing could have pipes inside the slab, pipes on vertical runs inside walls, a supply line under the yard...the water will be different temps in each of those zones. Then when you open a tap, it all starts moving, you feel temperature fluctuations. (edits: unless you have some kinda water chiller then: I have no clue. When I was a kid I used to love cold water from the tap, it was so-o-o cold at that house, either there was deep pipes under that house or the water just seemed colder to my little kid sized head. The part of your post where you said something about unpack a “Vive” and get back to boxing. Gonna need more. You just moved: wouldn’t you be unboxing?) Cranky Dog
2 hours ago, TaleSpinner said: Friday, July 10: What's your style; that is, how do you typically dress? I call my style: Stealth Casual. It is very plain, almost never any branding, functional, comfortable, and easy to ignore in a crowd. Length of sleeves or pants depends on temperature and/or work conditions. 2 hours ago, TaleSpinner said: Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)? Exceptionally, for the second weekend in a row, I have classes to get certification for construction site health and safety surveillance. The course was cancelled for months because of Covid19 and only recently started up again. In a way, it *is* fun, because I finally got an excuse to get out of town for the first time FOUR MONTHS. I ate out! I did groceries in other stores and was finally able to get other ingredients! I will repeat the adventure, and up my game by bringing back my empty bottles that have been piling up for months. 10
