The further the water has to travel in pipes that are exposed to AC air the longer the chilled water lasts. Your plumbing could have pipes inside the slab, pipes on vertical runs inside walls, a supply line under the yard...the water will be different temps in each of those zones. When I was a kid I used to love cold water from the tap, it was so-o-o cold at that house, either there was deep pipes under that house or the water just seemed colder to my little kid sized head. I'm used to the temperature fluctuations, but this stays consistently and grossly lukewarm. I thought it might be because it's consistently over 95F now, but if I fiddle with the handles, I can get very cold water. Each sink is different. Black golf shirt, black pants, and black nylon belt. Oh yeah, black socks too, but no black footwear as most steel toes are brown. Why? Because that's work uniform.. The golf shirts are embroidered... Oh, how do I dress when I actually choose? Usually some sort of shorts if it's warm (pants otherwise, used to be Tripp NYC or Ghast, but will be UFO pants soon enough), and a t-shirt. I never wear long sleeves if I can help it, I hate any kind of clothing that restricts movement, so yup, I hate my work pants... Oh, and t-shirts are typically Fox branded, because I like their stuff, and since I don't go out all that often (a product of working on killing off debts, so transitioning to pandemic stuff was a lot easier... Ish...) I don't really need to have all that many. I did recently pick up a stretchy orange tshirt, that really threw off the staff at my local post office because I've always shown up wearing either a work shirt or a Fox shirt. Oh yeah, and on cooler days I'm wearing either a spring/fall hoodie or a bulkier hoodie for winter (unless I'm at work, then, you guessed it, work jacket). As for the under layer, I'll just say 2UNDR makes incredibly comfortable boxer briefs, and Mark's Matrix Dri-Wear socks are practical, and last a decent amount of time in steel toe boots. But yeah, I used to be some sort of mix of cyber-goth, dark raver, and a few other things for how I looked. But that's a bias born from interactions I've had in the past with people that were really into being "stylish." Sturdy, comfortable black shoes that go everywhere, jeans for home, garden, or shopping, comfortable shirt appropriate for the weather, layers if needed, etc. Nothing too trendy that it can't be worn year after year. Nothing fussy or delicate. I think we're gaming on Roll20 tomorrow. One of my group flew to LA over the holiday weekend and I'm making him quarantine for 14 days. But channeling every TV episode of Ask This Old House I have ever watched I decided to look up some things. I think that whoever installed your faucets didna quite know what they were doing AND you have one of the two newer types that now exist. I work until Sunday, but during my weekend, it'll look much the same as my other days off for the last while. Amusing myself at home, with my guy, my garden, my minis and my cats. We are on a quest to find a hiking trail that isn't stupid crowded - a unicorn hunt in Colorado.
