@Morihalda Dutch here, when we have a hot summer we take an empty bottle, fill it with water and put it in the refrigerator.

That way you always have nice cold water.

Our tap water has a nasty taste to it, so we just buy jugs of filtered water anyway.

I always wear jeans, workboots, and a black or dark-colored t-shirt to work, and sometimes a longsleeve denim workshirt over it during the winter.

Out of work, the boots sometimes get exchanged for comfortable hiking boots.

At home, I generally wear just a t-shirt and sleep pants, with cut-off sleep pants for the summer.

Even during the summer I rarely wear shorts unless it's brutally hot - my legs don't tan due to extensive scarring from something that happened when I was younger and to this day I still only have a few random patches of hair on them.

Jack, on the other hand, is a hat so he's usually naked most of the time.

We got Persephone a swimsuit and some floaties. We’re gonna toss her in and see how it goes.

Just remember that the end with the head on it goes above the water... ::D:

Friday, July 10: What's your style; that is, how do you typically dress?

Sat-Sun, July 11-12: Any fun plans this weekend (share pics if appropriate)?

Given that a typical day is a work day I usually wear work level clothes, which is to say t-shirt and jeans.

I work Sunday.  Yay.

Style: Jeans, t shirt and combat boots (I wore 'em for so long in the Navy, that I find them more comfortable than regular shoes).

For work it's the same as above except that I wear polo shirts.

No plans, that way no one can start throwing around words like 'premeditated'.::P:

Is there a difference in a Polo Shirt and a Golf Shirt ?

I need to know. For the longest while I have thought that the sports equipment I lacked to go with my wardrobe was clubs but perhaps I need a string of ponies instead…

So. Much. This.

Also, failed plans can lead to disappointment or sadness. And we would not want that. (But see next…)

I was included in the plans of others this weekend.

The figure painting club had a plan. (There's that word  again.)

The plan was this:

Have both a virtual meeting and an in-person meeting simultaneously.

A small number of members would meet outdoors, under a shaded carport, in July heat, seating at six foot intervals, and wearing masks.

One of the physically present members would activate a Skype call and virtual attendees would participate through that.

The Skype call relied on a hand-held device under the carport.

(All these technological leaps and bounds were being attempted by, at best, a bunch of boomers.)

{ { Long pause ^ while you think about all the things that could go wrong. } }  ::D:

Thankfully, I have no pix to share.

We do the same but what we do is go to a water service place that has a "vending machine" that pours out a gallon of filtered water for .25 cents. Our tap water is nasty. It's more or less the community pool & we don't have a pool (anymore)!

Style:

T-shirt, jeans, work boots for work

T-shirt, cargo shorts & most of the time sandals for every day. Colder temps replace the shorts for pants & cross-training style sneakers.

Plans:

Well for one thing, no pants or work boots for a week!!! Actually got vacation time this time! Fun plans, I don't know if they are fun but I'm gonna work on getting the hobby room cleaned up & organized. Also, finally going to get my Ender 3 working again (something I've put off waaaaay too long).

Fun plans, I need to gather up things for Monday night's Eberron AL game.

Jeans and t-shirt... except when its hot... then shorts and tank top. Boring plain and simple. I'm IT so this is work too.

This weekend is pretty mellow.. the prevous few have been crazy so lets hope it sticks to the plan. Biggest plan is trying to finish the kintsugi repair of my favorite coffee cup whose crash a few weeks ago started this insanity. Its really very symbolic for me now.

Typical American male: jeans and a tshirt, or shorts and a tshirt.

Not this weekend. Last weekend went to the beach. This weekend is the usual assortment of chores, CPA study time, some Civ 6, and D&D.

Broke my cup (Ive had this one for 30 years)

Then my daughter needed an appendectomy (all is well now)

And my 18 year old cat died.

I might have missed something... but its been a bit rough.

Im putting the pieces back together... and hopefully making it better.
