Neyuttad
Incidentally, I didn't expect you guys to go back into the forest so fast. I guess the return of Adamar prompted it :)
Rupert Oldcorn
In case it wasn't obvious from my descriptions Adermar has shifted, should last for 5 Rounds, and he is using his Wildhunt Scent trait to look for Kyme and to see if the Hags are about them. Lorderl
the shifter-ranger detected one that he hasn't quite smelled before. A sweet almost perfume-like smell... Ok, who let it rip So will Adermar still have time to track the smell, if he so chooses? ERL
Rupert Oldcorn
The one good side of having the Wildhunt trait is it's one of the few that remains after shifting has ended. While Shifting he has almost perfect tracking ability of senses like any canine would (for 60 Ft with no wind 90 with favourable wind 30 non-favourable - I think I don't have the book to hand - and I'd assume in a forest there is little wind), after shifting has finished he still has a strong sense, he has a +2 to the search skill for tracking the scent I believe, but without the Ebberon rule book to hand I'm not certain. Of course being a Barbarian he has Speed 40 Ft so he's moving 80 Ft a round (minimum I think he can run 3 or 4 times his speed but he wouldn't with such a slow party following) giving a Scent range in essence from 110 to 170 feet distance in the direction he travels if Kyme is anywhere near by Adermar should be able to detect him, unless he was behind him and he now runs away, I'd say 20% chance of that

Lorderl
Ok, lets just hope that the laughter is from some pixie or sprite because if we just ran into a trap then we may all just be dead. ERL

Its my precious and you can'ts haves it!!!
Rupert Oldcorn
Yeah I was thinking that Non combat rounds were shorter, not that it matters Adermar just ran into a Combat round . The fact that Adermar is quite a way ahead of you will help; he'll be attacked and will respond accordingly he's in the best state to be attacked in. He can go to -9 and he will heal after shifting ends, all the other PCs will be able to react as a non-affected character and take her down if Adermar becomes distracted. If I had the Sprint Feat (can’t remember exact name, but it’s something close to that) he could go 5 times his speed. If he was a Monk his speed could increase to 80 (don’t quote be, once again the only book I possess is DnD 3.0, 3.5 and Eberron are back in Windsor with Stu) that would be mega fast
Rupert Oldcorn
Basically Adermar is doing a Running Jump, I'm not sure what you are doing for dice rolling in the game, but I've assumed you're rolling them. If I need to have made a Will Roll to decide to leap over the bush rather than walk up to it, then do so, but with circumstances I'd think Adermar wouldn't be that gullible, but you never know. Also can you roll me a D12 and D8, I haven't yet got my total HPs assigned so if you could tell me the result then I know what numbers I'm working with, I'd use the online dice roller I normally use but I'm not certain if it's sending properly. Vinny
I think you roll your own HP. The DM rolls combat rolls, saves, and checks, I believe.

I don't think that a WIS check is necessary, you decide the action you want your character to take. Myself I like the maneuver, easy to visualize, good thinking. Nev just to get an idea of our position what direction have we traveled in? or roughly how big is this forest?, I’m estimating about 5 by 5 miles. Any chance where near the lake again? Lorderl
Well, I was hoping to see the next post up but since it wasn't I added another post just because I could. I'll check back later and see how were faring against the laughing bush. I'm hoping the sweet smell is Kyme’s blood (who knows how half-demon blood smells like) and he's laying there laughing at his predicament. (a bit delirious of course) ERL
