Quiz for 17 August 2020: What GOOD thing happened to you this last week?

The best thing that happened to me this week was what kept me away yesterday. Got to visit some relatives (the good kind :poke:) for a few days

Quizzle for 18 August 2020: What is your "comfort food"?

Either chocolate milk or ravioli.

Or both.

Mashed potato and grated mature cheese sandwiches. Possibly with tomato soup.

Thanks for the photo. It's a great shot. I'm going to use the dead log as reference when I paint my Halloween spooky tree.

Glad you liked it!

Here's some slightly better shots of the wood itself for you. That particular tree has been slowly working itself downstream for a couple of years now, every time we have some heavy rain it trundles a little further.

The fiancee informs me the answer is 'something gooey' (HER comfort food, but usually it's mutual when called for).

This is a translation of what she calls a cheesy casserole (she usually just makes the sound of the spoon stirring the gooey casserole). A common one would be chicken, bacon, broccoli, ziti, and as many cheeses as I can slam in there, with some heavy cream for extra splorp.

Fried okra. I can't find anywhere up here that makes it though. I can't even find the okra to make it myself. Otherwise, it's probably mashed potatoes.

Frozen food aisle has em. Heck if we have it, you should have it.

Looking at my gut, I think everything is my comfort food.................

I've never really thought about it; maybe I don't have one?

Lately it's been Nando's Peri Peri sauce. @Glitterwolf should know what that is, the bottle says "Made in the Netherlands". :B): There used to be a Nando's by the game store, but the game store closed a long time ago, so I buy it at the grocery.

Oh, goodness, every day is a blessing. On Sunday we taught my puppy to ride in the canoe, we had immoral potluck with my friends and I found out my new used canoe is actually in need of less repairs than I initially thought. Monday I had supper at my parents' and shelled peas and watched Jeopardy!, my favorite TV show, a special treat since we don't have cable here. Today my Frostgrave 2nd Ed. book came 4 days early. Best of all, no one has found out I'm naked under my coveralls yet at work (or at least they haven't said anything...).

Either it leaks (repair at once!) or it does not? :winkthumbs:
