Question for 6 August 2020: Tea...hot or cold, sweet or not?

Hot, not sweet with the tiniest splash of skim milk for black teas.  Plain for all other teas.  Only sweet tea I drank was in Saudi Arabia as it was served that way.  Oh how I love tea (black, green, white, herbal...)!! :wub:

I've tried it & I didn't like the flavor of it.

There is more than one tea you know.

Question for 5 August 2020: Is Decaf really coffee? Or is it a plot to poison the Great @Crowley

No

Good afternoon! Question for 4 August 2020: Black Gobbo and the White Wolf are gone, do you have old archived copies of hobby magazines? Do you sporadically purchase, or subscribe to, any publications that have survived?

Yes. I have binders of ripped out articles and references. I also have digitals.Basically a pretty obscene reference library. I periodically buy digital magazines, but I don't subscribe.

For August 1 & 2:

1 If you were planning/hoping/dreaming of being at Reapercon this year, what is the one program or event you will miss most?

2 Who is the one Forumite you would like to meet there?

1 Hanging out at Fort Wappel and various other spontaneous gatherings.

AND the MSP Open, I find the feedback sections invaluable.

2. I just want to see everyone again. I'm pretty sure I've managed to meet almost everyone... bingo and ribbons work wonders.

Here at Casa Corsair we occasionally have hot tea, sweet. However there is always sweet iced tea in the fridge.

And sugar goes in iced tea, NOT cornbread!

Whuuuuuuuuuttt ?   Who in the world is dunking cornbread in tea? :upside:

My mouth burns easy, so for regular tea, I prefer warm over hot. If I brew a large amount, it ends up tepid anyway, and I'll still drink it. And I take it black, no sugar, no milk. All black! (or green, yellow, white, red, oolong, pu'er, matcha, herbal etc.)

I've realized I'm not much of a fan of iced tea. Not enough kick to it, or not sweetened properly. Though having a cool refreshing drink in hot weather is still pleasant.

Tea, hot and black.  I like pretty much any tea that actually contains, you know, tea. Not found of all those other concoctions of warm water and sticks and twigs.....

We don't get much in the way of cold teas up here. I think someone bottles one or two, but they aren't exciting. The only exception would long island ice tea, which I prefer strong :poke:

Decaf is coffee but it’s pointless as a drink.

The primary point of coffee is to provide caffeine. Decaf only provides the bitter taste.  If you want a sharp taste to wake you up instead of caffeine, there are other options.

The real benefit of decaf is the extracted caffeine is used for sodas, or so I’ve been told.

Yes.

I tend to do hot tea during the work day or at an appropriate restaurant, cold otherwise.

I have a fondness for sweet tea but I no longer have the metabolism to absorb that much sugar without consequences, so I stick to unsweetened tea.

Hot... Just cooled slightly so it doesn't burn the tongue, or your mouth.  Preference is for a white and green tea blended mix, but I don't like it too too fancy.  For "straight up" teas, I tend to drink Jasmine green teas a fair bit.

Whole leaf is my main preference, and I rarely add sugar, unless all we have is cheap tea bags.

Pu'erh... Ripe vs new I've no preference. Guess what I'm checking out this winter - that's right, I'll be spending $150 USD or so over at white2tea to try out different types (specifically their Basics sampler sets).  It's a type of tea that fascinates me, designed to be steeped multiple times (typically 7-15 times), and the flavour changes over time...

Edit: I've no idea what sweet tea is.
