Welcome to Getting to Know You, SEPTEMBER** 2020 Edition, **brought to you by the number 7, and the Roman Empire.

The latest iteration of the rules follows (LAST EDIT: 1 SEPT 2020):

1. Every day a question will be posted (but see rule 7).

1.5. Should I fail to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy & former Quisitors, will probably step in and post one (but see rule 3.5).

2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer the question of the day before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
3. Questions are going to be posted as early as 1 Minute after Midnite or as late as Noon CDT (Central Daylight Time, U.S. )

3.5 @MusicalFeline  is primary backup this month. MF, please note this is a ^ 12 hour span ^ but if I haven't managed by then jump in.
4. Anyone is encouraged to suggest future questions. Send a PM to the current or any previous Quisitor.
5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
6. If a question feels like TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
7. Weekend questions will often be formatted as  two or three day quests, or multi-part related questions, posted on Fridays or Saturdays.

Query for Sept 1st:

(A follow-on to the Aug 27 question, that mostly wound up being about spacecraft:) If forced to leave Earth forever…What Planet from Star Trek or Wars, or another SciFy realm, would you choose for your new home-world? (And why?)

I don't think I have ever thought about this before; good question.  I always thought Bespin looked really cool, though I think the lack of trees and wild spaces might get to me.

That homeworld Dylan Hunt keeps going on about in Andromeda sounds promising...

Bajor. Ancient civilization, close to DS9, the wormhole, friendly people (as long as you're not a cardassian).

Will boycott question due to label of Star Trek as Scify(rhymes with sissy) .

There is no Y in fiction.

Planet? I'd be a Citizen of the Culture, freely enjoying the universe. Maybe even serve in Special Circumstances if I got bored after a few millennia. (Iain M Banks)

It's a tossup:

Endor - Love the forest & Ewocks are way too cute & I'd love one as a pet (or would I become the pet).

Vulcan - It's only logical.

After careful consideration of several other candidates in several sci-fi franchises, I've determined the only safe and logical planet is @Glitterwolf's choice - Risa.

All of the other planets I considered, such as Lantea in the Pegasus Galaxy (SG: Atlantis) wind up facing deadly life forms and/or epic catastrophes.

Well, definitely not Alderaan......... Here already feels like Tatootine whenever the heatwaves roll in, Coroscant would be cool, but with it being 1 giant city, I think I'd take my chances on Deep Space Nine.

So a humid rain forest...

Can't choose Dagobah... though I don't mind the isolation, the humidity from a swamp would ruin the priming and painting of my minis. Plus I don't think Amazon delivers that far.

Alderaan... crap, wait, nix that one.

Asgard... oh, dangit, nix that too.

Xandar - diligent on supressing crime, though given that they can't defend against one warship without help, I'll have to scratch that one too.

Oh, oh, Barsoom (Mars) but only as it exists in Edgar Rice Burroughs' novels. Advanced civilization, long lifespan, I'd have super strength by comparison, and most important of all, pants are optional. We have winner.
