Sometimes.

Usually when I have to visit RNLAF HQ, they're located in a huge tower.

But normally, seldom.

Come to think of it, I doubt we actually have what you call skyscrapers.

Our buildings aren't as tall as the American ones.

They're over there [points]. I can walk to them.

I dislike being higher than 6 floors so I tend to walk under them or near them. I don't like to be in them. At least, not near a window.

I don't recall ever doing so deliberately, and I've never been employed in one. Currently I live where the closest thing to one is a grain silo or water tower, which on the whole I find more pleasing to the eye since no one builds in Art Deco style anymore.

Also I'd rather avoid the nests of harpies that roost on the tops of skyscrapers, for they are the Brides of Mothman...

I don't think anything around these parts is tall enough to be considered a skyscraper.

When I was in High School I did two weeks work experience in an office on the top floor of an eight story building if that counts.

The tallest building I have ever worked in was 37 floors, and 505 feet tall (Thanks Wikipedia!) which seems low for a "skyscraper" to me*. Second place was for the same job and was a mere 33 floors, but it was a modern glass-and-steel structure so use your own judgement.

When I was at that job I was in among the taller buildings of Boston nearly daily. Outside of that period, I would say that I haven't come within arm's length of a skyscraper more than once a month or so.

* - I was raised by a Manhattan native, which will skew or correct my instincts, depending on your point of view.

By the current definition in Wikipedia ( A skyscraper is a continuously habitable high-rise building that has over 40 floors and is taller than 150 m (492 ft).) I have been in exactly one, ever: The Empire State Building, back when I visited NY back in 2006.   The tallest building here is 19 floors.  The Tallest on the entire east coast of Canada is only 33 storeys.

I'd have to go to at least Montreal to encounter anything tall enough, but luckily when I go there I don't have to enter any of them (F1 cars don't go very high).

As I've mentioned a few times, I have a very strong issue with heights, so even the 11 storey building I "work in" (haven't been to it in over 6 months, but some of my stuff is still there) causes me enough grief with it's "pit of doomtm") that I have zero desire to anywhere higher than about the 3rd floor.

I was very happy that the whole observation deck of the Empire State Building is caged in. It was enough to let me enjoy the sights a bit. It probably helped that it was after dark too....

I visit them on occasion due to work, although no idea how many here in town would actually qualify under the previously mentioned description of such things.

No way I'd work in one, I'd make everyone around me nuts, as I haaaaaate office jobs.

I haven't been in a skyscraper in a VERY LONG time. My rare trips to Manhattan normally involve museums or the theater.

I have never worked above the fourth floor of any building. I don't particularly like heights.

Pre working from home I'd get dragged into meetings in the skyscraper next to where my office is every couple of months. The views are quite nice when I end up there. But it seems the designers crammed the conference rooms onto the top floor as an afterthought and it's not a super nice place to have a meeting as a result (too cramped, not enough outlets, poor ventilation, etc...). I'm always telling people that we have wonderfully appointed conference rooms in our beautifully renovated late 1800's building across the street where we'd all be more comfortable. But it's only 6 stories tall, so that probably doesn't seem as fancy as 500 feet in the air.

I haven't visited one in years. Last time was in Tokyo, October 2017 (missed RCon that year). The Sunshine 60 is tall enough that you can see Mount Fuji on a clear day. I was there on a cloudy day.

Considering what day we are. I have visited the original Twin Towers in 1987 along with the Empire State building.

I have worked in skyscrapers before when I lived in Montreal. First in the company building. Then in other nearby buildings for customer

projects.

EDIT: If we go by the 40+ floor definition of skyscrapers, then I have never worked in one. To preserve the skyline, Montreal has bylaws that forbids buildings from being taller than Mount Royal.

Aside from that, nearly all other tall buildings I've been in were hotels.

I was going to ask how tall is a skyscraper. I'm not sure I've ever been in one. I have been to larger cities (Toronto, LA, SEoul, Moscow and some others) but not sure if I've been in any buildings over 40 floors. So definitely never worked in one and don't know if I've ever been in one.
