Burger:

"The Very Good Butcher" fake meat burger (they're local, have good nutrition, and are damn tasty) cooked with a little coconut oil, on flat whole wheat/multigrain bun, with ketchup and hot sauce, sliced avocado, and a slice of cheese or mushed on goat cheese. Beyond Burgers also a good option, but pricier per patty.

.... Yes, I realize I super Millenialled myself. Whatever, it is delicious, nutritious, and isn't an environment killer. (I am still cool with meat being a thing - just have taken the approach of "have it sparingly and reverently, instead of regularly", personally).

You be you, no worries. However, be warned: the day you try to take away my toilet paper and tell me to use leaves that have "willingly fallen to the ground" instead, well, my dear, then we might have a problem.

Pssst... The toilet paper made out of sugar cane fibers works better than the tree based stuff ::P:

(not purple because imo it actually does)

Medium rare or well done. Either is fine for burgers. Cheese of most varieties, cheddar, swiss, or american*. Lettuce and mayo, yes. NO PICKLES**, no mushrooms or tomatoes (ketchup is fine). I don't mind onions, but I'm not overly fond of them on burgers, they are one of the few veggies I prefer cooked instead of raw. sautéed onions are awesome. The best burger I ever had (from a restaurant) had velveeta cheese and sautéed on it. It was a delicious mess.

*"cheese product"

Never seen that before. As long as it's still paper, comes in a roll, and is not literally a fallen leaf, it's all good in my opinion.

I draw a line when you mess with my toilet paper. Or if pants go back to being mandatory vs optional...

To get back on track: I just ate a cheeseburger. It was good, but my stomach will hate me later due to all the fat... possibly necessitating quality toilet paper. (See how I tied it all together? Boom. <mic drop>)

My favorite is as follows:

Ground turkey with some diced peppers mixed in and chopped pecans pressed into the top of the burger.

Swiss cheese

Lettuce

Tomato

Course mustard

Wife's homemade sriracha mayo

Toasted roll for a bun

Maybe some bacon if it's available

Pair that with a salad, and a beer and I may have to do that for supper tonight (except for the pecans, I think I'm out of those).

Bamboo fiber is also an option for toilet paper, but not all rolls are created equal. Some are fine. Some are quite abrasive. And the option isn't always available, or if it is, the cost is higher (annoying because bamboo grows stupid fast).

Made with meat, preferably beef or bison. I would be open to trying other types of meat as well. No turkey, though. I've had one and was unimpressed to be polite about it (I was tricked into eating it; NOT cool).

No veggie, soy, tofu, cardboard or other non meat nonsense.

Bun: any

Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried onions and mushrooms, bacon. Open to trying others. BBQ sauce or ketchup.

Cheese: typically cheddar or pepperjack, but open to trying other types.

Oh fine, I'll give a proper reply...

I like mine to be 60/40 sirloin and pork mix, lightly seasoned, and patties typically around 1/3-1/2 lb each.  May or may not be stuffed with cream cheese - such is mood dependent.  Egg and panko mixed in there, alongside seasoning salt and a little bit of pepper.   If ground pork isn't available, tri-tip from the local butcher is an awesome mix - that or ground beef and mild talian sausage.... So. Good.

Patties to be cooked to medium well, as with the size of the ones I like this makes the middle medium, with searing on each side in a pan, then put into the oven... Add a slice of medium cheddar on top (an actual slice of actual cheese, none of this processed stuff), and into some sort of bun it goes (we change it up all the time).  Add ketchup, mustard, and mayo, as well as tri-mix lettuce (or just head or green leaf - whatever I could get at the store that looked good).

Now, if we're talking a burger for myself? I'll take some friend onions and mushrooms in top, please and thank you, but such burgers are ones where I won't be seeing hubby for a few hours. I am not going to inadvertently kiss hubby and put him in the hospital!  Either that or the burger that The Local Omnivore serves, where its a burger, but also has a ton of Donair meat slapped in there too...

I'd like it NOW! (Seriously, I had a burger today without even knowing about this).

Besides that, uhm... Bun, sizeable meat patty, cheese, condiments, etc. Obviously the meat must be hot enough for the cheese to melt a bit.

When those two start getting added, it starts to feel more like a meatloaf to me rather than a burger. But I've probably had it at some point in my life made that way, and probably said "mmmm, wow, good burger."

Homemade beef burgers from beef raised in our feedlot are my favorite, especially when dad makes them. He mushes them all fine with his fingers, then makes jumbo patties. He does lots of mechanical things, so there's always a certain je ne sais quoi about the burgers...

I tried purchased not meat burgers, and they clean out my insides every time. Soy-sages do too. I think my gut doesn't like soya.

Charcoal grilled beef patty with salt and pepper only. Medium rare towards rare would be my preferred with most beef, but as ground beef is at higher risk, medium/medium well, generally. (If it ends up well done, I will complain). Any sort of cheese, depending on my mood. Grilled onions, tomato, ketchup and mayo.

I decided to do the question (another suggestion from Inarah) one day prior, so that if anyone wanted to be inspired to try someone else's idea for the perfect cheeseburger they'd have a day to plan.

I like them all sorts of ways. But I do try to avoid having Mayonnaise or similar condiments on one. I am kind of inclined to copy the one @Kuroneko posted if I can find a place that could come close. This looked good:

Astonishingly it's vegan ::o: but it's the best vegan thing I've ever eaten. (Please note, I haven't gone completely over to the dark side, still just veggie)

I would have to modify the slab of meat to actual beef from a Vegan Cow, that is: a cow that was never fed anything but grass. (That still counts as Vegan right, if the cow was vegan…..?) :poke:

That greenery looks good, I don't mind a bit of rabbit food, but I'd want some without all the stems. I dislike twigs. Gotta leave something for the rabbits.
