Have you finalized and closed out your Bones V pledge in the Pledge-Manager yet?

There are only 2 months left; 8 weeks and change; 61 days, …the deadline is December 1st.

Didn't participate, so no. Haven't done a Bones KS since the first, and those aren't all painted yet.

It didn't take me that long...  ::):

of course I had less than 50 other unpainted minis when it arrived.

Haven't backed since KS 2. I don't like Bones much, and I can't even sell off my old Bones stuff, seems like nobody wants it!

Heck, even my metal Reaper stuff garnered almost zero interest when I did my big purge a couple years ago.

Yeah, I'm a slow painter. Plus a lot of Life happened in the past several years. School, injuries, family health, surgeries... Bones 1 painting got pushed down the list.

No.  I logged in once to verify my account and that is it.  I'm not excited about it, but I'll at least close it out by the deadline so I don't lose what I've pledged.

Inquiry, the 26th of September: What is a skill or technique you would like to learn but have not?

Sculpting, I'm currently trying to get my muscle memory back regarding the basics. I'd also like to figure out NMM, I'm beginning to suspect that my reliance on synthetic brushes might be holding myself back in this regard. I might have to ask Santa for some of those spiffy Broken Toad synthetics that I found online recently. At least then it I fail then I can stop blaming my tools :poke:

I can't comment on NFL, but we have it as an option on some of our football games here. I kind of like it to be honest, we can also switch between different commentators as well.

I'd love to but I'm not sure anyone would want to see my scribbles ::P: heck, I'm not even sure I want to see them!

Um, is it because @Crowley is at least 50% coffee?

I've added A LOT in the pledge manager, but I think I'm done.

Hopefully......unless Ron adds more stuff, in which case I'm in trouble......again....

Anyways, a big Thank You to @TGP for all the questions this month!

You're welcome.  It feels strange to be up past midnight and not posting a new question . . . . .

Ersatz Bonus question….

Inquiry, the '31st' of September: Who here can be the first to spot and link the October thread?

Thread spotting, a bit like Trainspotting, but no need to leave the house. :B):

Nope. I'm waiting until the last possible minute. My cans and bottles recycling is paying for this.

Big Dragonlance fans then?? (Earns you bonus points if you say yes).

I am, I read all the books when I was a teenager. (I understand there were more, after I was a teenager, but have not read them all.) I’m not sure about Hubby, all I know is that he hates it when people play kender, because they use it as an excuse to be an annoying klepto.

Kender should be boiled alive. I haven't even read the books, I played one campaign in the Dragonlance setting proper and then a very long campaign that had Kender in it. They are THE WORST. :grr:

      Goal

The purpose of this thread is to gather in one place all the visual answers to the oft recurring question, “How big is Reaper miniature __ __ __ __ __ ?”

That question comes up about once a week; but always about different models. This thread is meant to serve as a place for those foolish kind souls who decide to answer in detail with a photograph to post their work.

      Guidelines for such photographs

“...Posed in front of an inch or centimeter grid, and / or with a ruler laid out in front of, above, or behind them, and / or next to other Miniatures for comparison...” Comparison pics are the most useful because the numerical height of a model doesn't always tell you how bulky it is, or how exaggerated the features might be. Common objects like paint dropper bottles, figure bases, and specific Miniatures like Sir Forscale (76543) can acquaint the viewer with size of a new Mini, especially while standing on a grid. The best comparison shots are like police line-ups: several miniatures side-by-side in front of an easily-read scale.

@Pingo @redambrosia and @lowlylowlycook contributed most of the wording in the preceding paragraph (which I edited a bit).

Happy New Year and welcome to Getting to Know You, January 2021 Edition!

The rules as they currently stand (in addition to all regular forum rules):

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one...
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted sometime before 10:30am Eastern US Daylight time.
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me...
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.

Thank you all for playing along as we get to know the real you... tell me, Malcolm Reynolds, are you familiar with the works of Shan Yu?

The first question shall be posted after a brief pause to prevent the merging of posts.
