I believe the Bard says it best.

I'm struggling to find polite words to describe how I feel about this right now.     Canada and United States only. This means it's literally impossible to "legitimately" purchase

Well, looks like Hasbro is doing their own version of a kickstarter for a new release of one of the all-time classics.  I don't know if their site for the crowdfunding would be considered as a commerc

Right?  Fedex International Economy!  "Economy" indeed.

At that price and their buying power it should be overnight express, not economy!

..Yeah, I know, in most cases economy gets here almost as fast but express is guaranteed one day, not 2-5...

What on earth are they using to ship it if its that bloody much? O_o

They're going to fire it out of an enormous cannon of course.

So deeply hilariously pleased to know that "offer not valid in Quebec" still happens.  Nothing elfing changes.  Happy to keep money in pocket.

Horrible shipping costs to Canada, seriously. And the expected exclusion for Quebec.

Not even sure this is worth it...

I mean the base price for that amount of stuff is nice...

But I am no fan of these over-stylized, World of Warcraft-y aesthetics the new minis sport.

Obviously they couldn't go back to Warhammer aesthetics, but still.

(kinda funny how the original was Warhammer-adjacent and now this new one is made by the company that owns D&D)

I must admit I was saving up for a very special kickstarter (which doesn't have a thread yet) which is due to launch some time around late October/early November. I was struggling to work out how I was going to also afford whatever this new Heroquest announcement would be then Hasbro went and made it nice and easy for me with their regional restriction. Those orcs looks very Yedharo/GT STudios don't they? The Goblins have big Pathfinder goblin heads as well. Some of the new hero sculpts look similar in style to the Gamezone ones.

I suppose I should leave it a few more weeks before starting that special kickstarter thread. I know I want to be the one to start it but I don't want to start it too early as that might seem inconsiderate and rude. It still would have been nice if I had a way to scrounge up the money as I do have friends and relatives in America-land that I could post it to and then ask them kindly to send it on to me.

It would be interesting to know the market price for the game, once it is released.

With the insane shipping, it might be best for those outside of the US to wait for retail.

This looks like it's HasLab, and HasLab stuff doesn't go to retail.  It's get it now or get it never, like Jabba's Sail Barge.  I also believe this explains the high cost per item, the high shipping outside US, and the limited availability.  It's pretty standard for HasLab.  So anyone sizing this up should make their decisions accordingly.

This is one of those rare cases where it could be cheaper to get off of eBay.

As it is right now, it's a very easy pass.

After the estate of one Fomo Barrowblight (who many moons ago, and with heavily laden bags, had said he was just off for a morning walk, never to return) was sold at auction, there came to light a strange scroll that appeared to be a map of the final resting place of a lost tribe of halflings.  These cousins lived down in the scorching Southlands, amidst endless dunes that had buried whole cities and civilisations.
The newly elected (and so still very enthusiastic) Halfling Town Council had organised an expedition to make contact with their fellow halflings, with the aim of swapping some stories and recipes, and who knows, perhaps even coming back with some interesting new cakes.
And, after many great perils and travails, the expedition found itself in a mysterious location known as 'The Valley of the Things'.  Here, recipes in strange hieroglyphs were marked on tomb walls,  guarded jealously by High Priests and long mummified pastry chefs.
The expedition takes time to assuage the fears of the High Priests that they are here to steal the sacred recipes and make formal diplomatic relations.  But Fomo Barrowblight and another mysterious figure seem intent on stealing the recipe to the sacred pie and have already gleaned some of the ingredients...
      To the Mummy's Tomb!
Introducing a series of  Eight Fantasy Miniatures in 28mm scale from a halfling expedition to the burial grounds of their cousins, in the desert southlands.
        Halfling Town Council Five
The latest elected Halfling Town Council, has been responsible for launching the expedition to the distant Southlands, as always, it is made up of eight different townsfolk from all walks of life.
I've already pledged for the whole set, why haven't you?

      A huge 2 for 1 KS!
(You get BOTH Humans and Halflings in one project! )
Bloody Peasants! by Midlam Miniatures — Kickstarter
"Oh no!  It's an armed agrarian uprising!"
Toiling in the fields for their feudal overlords, the peasants are equally quick to turn their tools to defending their lands from monstrous invaders or, when pressed to the limit, revolting and overturning cruel and greedy landowners.
      Bloody Peasants!
A selection of human and halfling farmers in 28mm scale miniatures for all of your fantasy games.
You can choose from humans, halflings or both!
      The Humans
A familiar sight in the villages surrounding Midlam.
      The Halflings
A smaller folk, doing the same jobs as the longshanks.
      It's a Midlam project, so you know what that means;
Maybe a stretch goal, very possibly an early fulfillment, and absolutely no nonsense.

      I leave this here:

Looking quite good! I'm backing for the character set.

I backed their original Mythic Battles: Pantheon. Good miniatures.
IIRC, Mythic Battles: Pantheon core sets in the KS, and possibly some expansions in the PM. Expansion reprints were difficult because printer required a minimum number, and Monolith wasn't sure how many sets backers would want. Also, let me know how their fulfilment has been going. (Not to be confused with their former partner, Mythic games.)
