6mm Fantasy Crusader Kingdom

Recommended Posts

Microworld Games (which I run) has their first Kickstarter ever live:

All stretch goals have been met, with a bit less than 2 weeks to go.  I know 6mm fantasy is a bit of a niche within a niche, but thought I would post for anyone interested in element-based mass battle wargaming.  I'm hoping the KS platform enables me to push out more interesting projects a bit quicker.

I really have no use for these, but I think they will be a fun change of pace from my usual painting stuff. Went with the sampler + a batch of white tiger knights.

I picked up a bunch of approx this size of minis to use as doll swarms. I placed 5 figures per 1 inch base & in the end I had 8 swarms, so 40 figures. They looked great all painted up, but dddddaaayyummmm!!! It makes me appreciate the people that paint in the scale all the time.

Good luck with your kickstarter & here to tremendous success!!

No idea why, but it's tempting to go in on this so I can have knights versus BattleMechs...

Edit: will there be a pledge manager after as well?

Thanks guys!  Yes, there will be a pledge manager.  I will be doing shipping through my store, so anything additional from there can be tacked on to the original pledge.

Well, I do have a 6mm element-based fantasy wargaming project, but these look considerably bigger than my old Irregular Miniatures figures. Nevertheless, I’ll go have a look.

I don't have that one specifically, but these may be of some use to give you an idea of the tiny size:

SirForscale is also known as Garrick The Bold(SKU 77008), and his special features are... nothing.

He's a completely regular knight in armor, with Sword and Shield. He's completely 'Average Human' in size.

So he's the perfect mini to compare with.

And usually, when reaper photographs a large mini and writes 'Knight included for Scale only' it's that one that's used.

Which is why he got the nickname SirForscale.

Even if people doesn't have a SirForscale in their collection, they will have a good idea of how large it is.

Thanks for the size comparison picture. It has me wondering how these would look compared to Warmaster miniatures. For some reason I think those are 10mm size?

I looked online and it said Warmaster was designed around 10 or 12 mm so these would be half that size. (Alternate halflings?)

Yup, warmaster miniatures would be about the height of the angel I would say.  So yes, they would technically be useable as extraordinarily well-outfitted halflings :)

I backed the first Killer Rabbit Kickstarter and really enjoyed the figures.  A follow up one was just announced by Skull and Crown on Facebook:

OMG!  Jason Weibe helped create the new Dwarven line being released on Kickstarter by Tomb Guardians!  These minis look so cool and they are cheap!  I haven't seen anyone post about this yet but here is the link.  It starts tomorrow morning.  They also said Bobby Jackson and Gene Van Horne created there monsters in the set.  Cant wait.   I purchased there Amazons and they were fantastic!  I posted some pics.  Im assuming the Fire Demon and add ons are in Resin.

Queen Titania will be cast in resin, 15 part kit, coming with a textured base. At an impressive 160mm height to the tip of the horns she towers over mere mortals on your battlefield unleashing nature's wrat
      h!
The kit can be assembled in two variants: with an ornate bikini armor or savagely topless.
