jadeite
Printed on my Ender 3. Giant Scorpion from the Empire of Scorching Sands KS. Threading is a bit of a problem but I'm quite happy with the layer lines.
Glitterwolf
Nice! You could cover threading damage wih sand/flock, it will be very believable for such a creature!
jadeite
That's not a bad idea, I'll try it once I've painted the beast. Edited November 11, 2020 by jadeite

I use Vallejo Desert Sand Paste for it. Here is an example how that looks https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/93653-sphynx-eternal-by-glitterwolf/
jadeite
Painted. The threads look worse in the photo than they are. I guess I'll reduce the temperature even further next time.

Moderator TaleSpinner Posted November 12, 2020 Moderator Share Posted November 12, 2020 FINALLY, after 2 weeks of tinkering with the Photon S, I got a good print out of it: In order to get to this point, I did the following: - Replaced the FEP - Leveled the bed - Replaced the FEP again - Tuned the FEP - Leveled the bed - Tested the light - Tested the LCD screen - Replaced the LCD screen - Leveled the bed (I think I can do this in my sleep now) - Adjusted my slicer settings It's been a long and frustrating couple of weeks trying to figure this out.
haldir
I'd say this one is great success for me. Velrock Giant owl. The grey stuff is mounting putty as the base can be removed for transport. My players enjoyed the encounter with these last Monday night.
Reverend Shartan
We recently acquired an Elegoo Mars, and after a nervous 3 hours, our first resin print was removed from the build plate. Instead of printing the rooks, we decided to use Baby Yoda from the verse. The only flaw was a "flap" mid way down the front of the robe. Resin used was Elegoo water washable. I'll post a pic later tonight. Reverend Shartan Edited November 12, 2020 by Reverend Shartan
Zink
24 hours into having a printer this is what I've done not including the boat and duck as tests. Most were printed using standard or low quality settings with a 0.4mm nozzle. Accidental mini gunslinger dwarf. So tiny it's hard to see even zoomed in. Upsized but still a bit too small gunslinger dwarf along with an Oathmark and Reaper min for size comparison. Ok quality but missing a bit of detail. 1/285 scale M4 Sherman. Broke it's gun off while showing him to the kids. Looks better in person. Catapult K2 printed using Fat Dragon Games Cura profiles for minis. Pretty good looking with almost no lines visible. Got 2 more mechs on the printer right now using these settings. 2.5" long HMS Victory. The masts don't match the holes in the hull and I printed it at too low of quality. It's the only thing I've printed so far that I'm not happy with. Still a usable game piece but easily can do better. Ulvheim ruins printed with a 1.0mm nozzle and lower quality settings. Pretty happy with this as I plan on printing everything I've found for Ulvheim. Need lots of ruins for different games. It took 1/4 of the time to print compared to the mech despite being 5-6 times more filament. I'm almost finished painting it as I wanted to know how bad the print lines would show up. They're visible but bearable for me. Overall very satisfied with the CR-6 printer. Just need to dial in the settings for different functions to find that happy balance between speed and quality. And buy more filament before I run out. Edited November 15, 2020 by Zink
Humansquish
This is what I have been printing for the last month. Looter went half in with me on the AG kickstarter, so he gets first print of this guy and gets to put it together. I couldn't find my Sir Forscale so I got the Witch Queen out.

Zink
Today I primed the mechs I've printed and took a group shot. For the time being I only want to print one more and he's heavily converted but nearly finished. Been a good lesson in using various 3D programs. Some painted ruins. The one on the left used the default Cura 1.0mm setting and the one on the right my heavily modified fast settings. The second one has a tiny bit more lines but prints almost twice as fast. Works for me for larger terrain. Need to get more filament before I can go crazy on ruins.
Illithar
Well, decided to see if I could get a print done despite the issues my printer has right now and... we have a success! Bonus points: this was also printed with supports 100% done by me, so that felt good to accomplish.
