haldir
I can't thank my friend enough for the setting she sent me this year. Before I was only able to get one or two pieces per plate printed now I can print however many I can fit in the plate. Artisan Guild Ashen Alfar. These were done yesterday. This morning I did the bases for the antler-ed wolves from Mammoth Factory (8 medium & 1 large). Currently printing the wolves themselves. If I decide to clean up the prints tonight, I'll over night print up the new Krampus mini I sliced up the other day & clean him up in the morning. Current one is nice but is a under-sized large mini (base is probably 40mm). He kinda looks like a big brother to the elf minis. Adventure has him as a large size creature, so I had a 50mm in my library.
Illithar
Hey, it's been quiet in this thread for a while. I thought I share something Big I had printed up recently, Optimus Prime from Wicked. I stumble upon them recently through their other patreon B3Dzerk Studios. They are going to be doing a Megatron this month as well. This was printed on my Saturn 2, I have also decided to dust off my Mars 2 Pro and use it to dabble in some clear resin. I tried out Nova3D's high transparency and it... didn't go well. So I tried SirayaTech's Blu Clear V2 then colored it with some alcohol inks before curing. It could still use some tweaking I think but I like the results so far. The top pick here is being held together by gravity, the main torso, each leg, and head are all still separate. I'm not crazy enough to try and paint him fully assembled.

Corsair
So what is the difference between Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnum?
Illithar
1 hour ago, Corsair said: So what is the difference between Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnum? In the original toys, not much. Ultra Magnus is usually a white repaint of Optimus Prime with extra armor that creates the look most people are familiar with. The armor is usually Ultra Magnus' trailer in his vehicle mode. In the stories it varies depending on which canon we're talking about. In the original cartoon he was Optimus' right-hand-man, in the 2004 IDW comics he was basically a cop that enforced the Tyrest Accords, a set of rules the Autobots and Decepticons... technically... were supposed to operate by. Kind of like a Cybertronian Geneva Convention. There are lots of other versions.
Moderator TaleSpinner Posted February 24 Moderator Share Posted February 24 So I almost never print something directly for a game. I just don't often have time. That has not stopped me from amassing a huge catalogue of cool digital figures just in case I ever do decide to want to print them. So I have a game coming tonight, and decided to print a bunch of figures for it and do a quick airbrush paint job on them. Did I go to the huge catalog of minis I have...no. I printed a bunch of figures I sculpted that aren't even released yet. But they turned out pretty nice and the players are going to wet themselves when these come over the hill as an organized hunting pack. 10 1
haldir
Rocketpig Games aka RPG Death Titan. So happy that this one came out, except the connector cubes, I didn't resize those correctly. I'll throw them on to a plate of minis for a later print. Considering this thing comes at gargantuan base size (4 inches wide) when you load it up in Chitubox. Also the whole 4k mini base plate size thing. I'll just mount him to Reaper 3 inch base. I just noticed how dirty the underside of the handle on the base plate is, ha ha....
lowlylowlycook
Printed out these noise marines Let's zoom and enhance... Those wah wah bars printed which kind of blows my mind and furthermore if you push on them a bit they don't break off but instead bend a bit. 3D Printing is pretty bad broccoli and easy to take for granted.
haldir
It's funny, I didn't like printing bases, as I relied on existing bases from Reaper or mdf bases. I guess it wasn't until I started printing the bases that went with a stl file or such. A few bases were touching, but that was taken care of with a straight blade & minimal clean-up. I was worried about this one, as there isn't much supports on these. Just at the bottom & whatever auto-supports gave me. Love it thou, 30 bases on a Phrozen 4k mini print plate!
lowlylowlycook
Looks like an awesome set for basing DnD characters.

I mainly printed these (besides being free) is, I have plenty of printed figures to base up, so I wanted base to feet contact. When you combine that with the JB Weld UV glue, it'll be a very strong bond.
haldir
My free file from Phrozen's stl store. I resized so it would be huge size for 5e.
MojoBob
That's a superb miniature, and perfectly posed for maximum playability. I love it.

Yah, I love the company behind that miniature, Collective Studio. I just wish they hadn't ceased operations due to lack of interest with their Patreon or Tribes. I printed off their Chimera & it's equally impressive.
