That's what main section says, hence why I inquire - if it's restricted brand, I suspect many would appreciate such being mentioned, doubly so those of us who can only purchase Reaper paints in the warmer months. :) 

 

Also, with limited to those three colours, are we allowed to use white and black for blending? (can't remember if that's already been asked)

sounds interesting but not for me, I think

 

reason being that even though you say it's not a contest, having a raffle is going to make me FEEL like it's a contest, and i'll most likely end up forcing myself to paint when I dont' want to just so i have the points for the raffle

 

having done that before, it speedily burns me out of painting at all, so better i sit out and just paint at my own pace without such pressures sitting over my head lol. I know how I am too much to take something like this with raffle and prizes in it as anything but a contest against others to force myself to do in a sad attempt to have a chance at winning

I knew people would feel that way, but the prizes are not going to be life changing prizes like the lottery much more like a lot of little pulls from the over all with the big one at the end of the year. And its designed to do what you can and have fun, since the points roll over each month if you dont want to spend them then don't you can bank them until you need them. Meant to keep in mind people who dont have a lot of time to hobby ETC. 
But i understand you know yourself better than me! So just keep painting! :)

Is this a good thread to see if anyone else is interested in participating in a monthly Duo or Trio to work on our backlog of minis from Bones 4? (Or Bones 3, or 2, or...) Maybe come up with a bunch of minis we'd each like to do, confirm we all have 'em, and pick one each month for the participants to paint and submit?

 

I don't post on the forums much (and everyone's inability to find me for Forumite Bingo at ReaperCon proves my lurker status! ), so I'm not sure if this is the best place for a "looking for group" thread, or if another sub-forum would be more appropriate.

You can do it here, or we can start a sub forum for it. i know people on the discord in the "RCL- Discussion" section have already started getting groups together.

What if your partner for Duo/Trio end up with life issues where they cannot submit? Do we enter anyway or is it auto disqualified from the category?

Hi Jon,

Couple of questions for January-

1- New Releases- If I read above correctly, the Jan "New Release" would have been release in December.  If that is correct, I should be able to use 77695 NAGENDRA SWORDSMEN as a new release.  Is this correct?

2- If a single SKU has multiple minis (77695 NAGENDRA SWORDSMEN) can I split the and use one for Monster and one as a New Release?

Many people wondered the same thing and brought it to Jon's attention. But the first one is officially "Ice" OR "Fire"

 

I don't know if the official text has been corrected as many older versions are wandering around.

Hopefully the dependence on another person will motivate people, which is why its on the list, but things do happen and that is okay, At that point i would look for a new duo partner or submit it for another challenge.

Well this sounds fun, ill give it a try.  

 

Duo or Trio: 

If anyone wants to group up im looking at the Ogre chieftain in bones black 44006, im currently vibing on reapers larger minis. 

or something easy  from Bones 1 - like the spider swarm. 

I am a little limited in what I have left unpainted Bones 2-4 -  but most of the stuff from Dreadmere is still unpainted.
