They should put that in those educational videos to discourage teen pregnancy. Because that truly is horrifying. ::o:

And yes, I'm imagining you a la Ghostbusters being slimed...

Your imagination is very accurate.

Question for October 4th

It's a busy Sunday, but you find yourself with 30 minutes where you can do whatever you want to do. How do you spend those precious minutes?

If my Sunday is busy and I only have 30 minutes to spare I’d probably spend it zoning out in the couch. 30 minutes isn’t enough time to do much of anything for me.

As for paints: well $&@*!! I love about half those colours, not counting the seasonal, limited edition paints.

October the 3rd

What is the best thing to have happened to you this year so far?

What is the best thing you've done for someone else?

A lot of my joys are simple things or hold-overs from 2019. My puppy continues to be the best thing that has happened to me every day. Her birthday is on the 9th and she will be 1 year old. I'm thankful everyday for food to eat and a nice place to live in a pile of pet fuzz and the means to provide them.

I think probably the best thing I did for someone else was bring Freezer Pleasers to my friends when they were on quarantine in March. They still thank me every time I see them! I still bring them to my grandma when I can. I also got fed up enough to write the Covid guidelines for the canoe club in June, which meant we were finally able to have trips go again, which brought a lot of people joy. Don Cherry once was asked in an interview why he does so much charity work anonymously. He said the point of such work is not to gratify yourself. I completely agree.

Question for October the Fifth!

In the list of discontinued paints, what are you going to miss the most when your supply runs out?

My poor ancient Egyptians are doomed to be Caucasian. I use a lot of dusky skin triad. Many Egyptian fighters were actually mercs from what is now Sudan. For a long time, pharaohs preferred to hire soldiers than maintain a standing army. And it makes the gold look prettier.

Red and Green Liner, for sure. I'd just discovered them this year, having been loyal to the Blue and Brown for a long time. Finally, decided to expand my horizons, loved pretty quickly how I could use them, and now they are going away. *sad trombone*

Paint, draw or read usually. Play with a cat. Or end up engaged in a strange conversation with one of my kids... most of them are strange, but when I have time they get more so.

Peacock green, violet shadow and Red shadow. There are probably others but after those I couldn't read on.

You could always use the dark skin triad. Very nice set of dark browns.

Every Sunday night I listen to an episode of The Dungeoncast podcast while painting. It's a 5e themed D&D podcast kind of aimed at DM's that covers a single monster/race/class/place/deity/etc. every week. The presenters are kind of humorous, and even though I don't use D&D for gaming they tend to have some good ideas on how to use different fantasy subjects in your games. I listen to them on Spotify, but here's a link to their Youtube channel:

I also recently discovered Michael Kiwanuka. Kind of feel like I've been dragging my feet on discovering that one. He's got a good soulfulR&B thing going on that I really enjoy. Highly recommend his album "Kiwanuka" if that's the kind of music you enjoy.

I don't listen to any podcasts, so my sharing will basically all be YouTube videos.

Chumbawamba - The Day The Nazi Died

Ida Maria - I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked

Rone - Bye Bye Macadam

The Battering Ram - Come Out And Fight

The Dead South - In Hell I'll Be In Good Company

Blues Saraceno - The River

Blues Saraceno - Devil's Gonna Come

Scissor Sisters - Tits On The Radio (NSFW?)

Alestorm - Alestorm

The Rumjacks - Blows And Unkind Words

Hindu Love Gods - Raspberry Beret

Sogand - Echo

The Interrupters - Take Back The Power

Skald - Seven Nation Army

Woody Guthrie - Miss Pavlichenko

Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime

I, uh, got a little carried away pulling stuff out of my playlists.
