Not interested in the game nor in the ships. Nice that I can get the plastic boxes as add-ons without a pledge for the main game.

im not interested in the game. Well I kind of am but doubt I can convince my friends to play. But I do like the ships and the crew. Just the ships and crew come to $101 if you buy separately. So for $17 you get black beard, Maynard and the stretch goal box. Plus the game mat looks good.

though I could just get a bunch of crew...

anyway, I’m in for the $119 now. Will see though.

just realized the unit boxes come with 12 figures... so the base game is actually valued at $126 for just the 2 ships and 24 crew. I will probably keep the base game pledge. I actually don’t like that all the metal heroes have to be purchased, I only really wanted Anne Bonny and Mary Read.

Huzzah!

Funny they're beating Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago to that

I've backed for now, but may have to back out. I like the idea of having some pirates and ships to go with the Reaper Bones ship.

I also am looking at this as filler crew for the Reaper bones ship. But their fulfillment date is Oct of next year. So assuming the dates are correct, the Bones ship will come out early next year, then I would have to wait several months for the crew. I am tempted to pass on the kickstarter and just buy a box of plastic pirates when they are available from retail. In the meantime I think I can paint up enough pirates to use the bones ship in games at conventions next summer. I already have many of the Reaper pirate figures painted and like two packs of Foundry pirates from a long time ago.

I saw Knight of the Dinner table asked in the comments about how big the plastic minis are. They answered 31mm to the eyes.

The creators had a live chat last night. I only caught the end on it, but they mentioned that the campaign is doing better than expected and it was asked if there would be another ship in this campaign. The answer was it’s possible but the campaign would have to do extremely better than expected and even then they would have to be sure as to not delay what’s already here. So I would read that as not likely.

I pledged for the base set too.  I really like the game (even though I've only played once), and I love that it can accommodate ship to ship, ship to land and all land combats.  We had a blast the one time we played.  Just need to find more time to play.  So many games, so little time.

I am debating this as well. Hard to know the cost because my flgs sells the metal sets at 75$ Can. Sloops are 70$ too. Wonder about exchange/shipping/possible import duty might add to makes it hard. I'm guessing close to Frostgrave plastics for unit boxes, which means shipping and taxes would have to be worth about 11$  to be even with retail.

The following is a list of units that can be built using just the parts found in the sailor box:

This box will include tons of options for players to create sailor miniatures of any European power from the 17th or 18th century. Check out just some of the options available in beautiful detail :D

This 28mm pirate miniatures board game looks like a great deal, and a nice compliment to Reaper’s Brinewind stuff.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/firelockgames/blood-and-plunder-raise-the-black

The $119 base game pledge level gets a 3’ x 3’ double sided game mat (I assume neoprene), one side with water, and the other a land motif, 26 plastic miniatures with weapon & head options, and two plastic pirate ships!! Plus several other game play bits (cards, dice, etc).

Extra sloop sets are each a $39 add-on.
I haven’t seen any official numbers on the size of the ships, but going off the picture of the game laid out on the 3’ x 3’ game mat, I’d estimate 10” - 12”?

Edit: Skimmed through a video on the KS page interviewing the creators, and though things were still being finalized at the time of the interview, they stated that not counting the head rails or the bowsprit, the sloop is 10” long.

i just learned of this KS, so don’t know a ton about it yet, but wanted to share the info. Right now it has 18 days to go in the campaign.

      Story
In the depths of Agaldurs Keep, where the deep roots of the ancient Dwarven king's mines break into the natural homeland of the Gnomes, the magicks of the Darkewood begin to take hold. In the years after the Dwarves had left these lands the Gnomes took up residence in the lower sections of the Keep finding it infinitely more comfortable than their underground holes. Moving here exposed the Gnomes to new creatures, new tools and of course the magick that weaves through the Darkewood. Over time Gnomish society changed and began revolving around frogs and fairies instead of just dirt.
More Gnomes? is this just an excuse for Bad puns?
No of course not,  but when opportunity knocks it would be rude not to open the door eh?  We originally launched the 'Gnome More MR. Nice Guys' miniatures in 2018 and had always hoped to explore deeper into the history of these strange creatures. Where did they come from, What are they wearing and Why do they get so angry?  With your help in funding this project not only will we be able to answer some of these burning questions but we will also be able to bring a whole heap of brand new Northumbrian Tin Minis into production for general release next year.
We spent a fair amount of time considering how these gnomes fit into the world along with the rest of the Nightfolk and the Denizens of the Wood and so to help you bring a little bit more of that world to life they also come equipped with a small free digital adventure. Rumor has it that our author Ken became so engaged with the characters and lore that he built a whole campaign around it, which he may or may not have committed to paper - we shall have to see!
We have 8 Gnomes and 5 Toads as well as an epic Toad mounted Deathstealer, Several stretch goals which include Additional free Minis!
What do you get out of this? Well, you can get all of those fantastic miniatures we just mentioned and some addons with a fantastic discount on the usual retail price and perhaps bag yourself some free stretch goals on top!  You also get to lend us a hand in shaping these characters and the lore that surrounds them.

The Classic Cloaked Halfling Adventuring Party!
A Set of 10 Classic Cloaked Halfling Adventurers for all of your Fantasy Adventures.
Welcome to our latest Kickstarter Project, which we are running as a quick campaign, of just over a week.   Our plans for the year, like so many other peoples, have been knocked sideways and we are behind where we planned to be.   To that end, we intend to run this campaign for just over a week, and get the miniatures sent out to backers before the end of the year.
The classic cloaked halflings project came about because the few halflings we did have with cloaks, always proved popular, and it remains a classic look.  So here we have male and female cloaked halfling with a variety of adventuring gear.

Now hurry up, you only have 7 days on this one because they hope to get the minis out the door in time for Christmas.
