It has been a tough year. I decided that I was going to make Secret Sophie a priority this year just because it has been so blah! Focusing on doing something nice for someone else plus giving me a kick in the behind to get up and do something! I got my assignment and I am really excited about it! Already planning what I want to paint and what gifts to include! Hope this helps you with your funk. I know just how you feel!

I am so excited!  I think I already have everything planned out, just need to get a couple things from LGS and do some painting and basing.

 

I am hoping to be done early... but I always think that about any project I do and it is rarely the case

Started working on my gift. Thought I would just show what I've gotten done today so far.

My $120 Reaper order has arrived.  There should be something worth painting in there.

 

On a less positive note, one of my coworkers has been exploring surgery.  Picking up part of their workload will mean less painting time.  Hooray for the early start.

Adding my WIP, which is actually a picture of the completed mini. I'll be shipping mid-November and signing up for the second exchange. Glad my schedule stayed clear so I could get this done early

Their surgery is a go for December.  So with that in mind I spent some time this week to clean, green stuff, and prime my mini.  Currently I'm staring at it trying to decide on a hair color.  Realistic or fantasy... though I suppose for a punk rocker they all count.

My minis came in. Excited to start painting. This will be my first time working with metal. 

 

I've got some fun ideas in mind to make this a memorable gift.  Glad I decided to participate!

Here's my WIP shot. I'm ploughing ahead with it because (a) I'm feeling inspired and (b) I want to get it sent off by the beginning of December due to international delivery times.
