I was finally able to order all the things!  Once that arrives I should be able to send my gift as I plan to finish the base for the painted gift tomorrow (at least I'm assuming everything will have time to dry for me to finish).

Quick question, when I send the package should I let the person know then or do I just wait for them to get it to find out who it's from?

I let the moderator know and provide the tracking number to pass on anonymously to the recipient.

Don't forget to take photos before you mail it.

Well I guess Reaper called my bluff

I thought for sure I would have the painted piece ready to go by the time the package got here since I just ordered this Saturday night.  But no the hard working people in the Reaper warehouse had to make me look bad!  It was delivered this morning!

Maybe they are telling me to get off my bust and just finish the elfing thing!

The painted minis are finished. I am going to take pictures and then figure out how I am going to pack them up safely with the other goodies. I will be sending them out tomorrow or Wednesday probably. I will send a message when I go to the post office.

Mine is painted, photographed and boxed up.  Since I have to work my second job this evening the package will probably go out tomorrow or Wednesday.

Is it ok if I only painted one figure?  I wanted to paint more but other projects got in the way.

Absolutely! I usually only paint one. I painted two this time just because they went together.

As Pochi said, one is definitely ok.

I'm almost done with painting my mini(s). Will hopefully be posting it on Monday, currently trying to figure out how to make sure it survives the rigors of the postal system as one particular part is giving me cause for concern. I've got some air bladders and am considering the box-within-a-box approach.

Next time I do this, I'll make sure the mini doesn't have any fragile, sticky out parts ^_^

Yep! I am terrified mine will be in pieces but I bubble wrapped and then bubble wrapped some more and put them inside a box and then packed that in with everything else. The last one I sent was pinned just with one foot touching the base and it made it so I am hoping my excessive packing works again!

The box within a box approach seems to work for me. A couple of years ago I had done a conversion where I added horns to a figure. The horns were securely pinned and glued. They swept forward like bulls horns and didn't stick straight up. But one of them arrived broken, even though I had padded the figure with bubble wrap. So since then I have been placing the figures in a stiff plastic container inside the box I ship the figure in.
