Kyphrixis the Rainbow Dragon (pic heavy)

A long time ago, in March 2019 to be exact, @NomadZeke set a painting challenge for that years April Fools Day. Paint something ridiculous.......20 months later I finally finished my entry for it He's based on a Pathfinder Huge pawn holder for ease of use in games.

 

I absolutely adore this mini, in my opinion it's the best Huge sized dragons on the market and one of Julie Guthrie's most stunning sculpts 

 

I humbly present to you, Kyphrixis the multi-hued Rainbow Dragon!

Magnificent! Lovely color transitions and darklining. Those wings remind me of those rainbow-algaed thermal springs from Yellowstone and similar.

Well Done!  I love the combination of subtle blending and sharp color changes.  That is really nice!  in particular I love the orange edging on the wings, it defines them beautifully

Smooth blends, believable transitions from head to tail and eye catching wings. Contrast is also perfect. I think you nailed it.

A special shout out is also due to the forumites from the Off Topic part of the forum who convinced me not to start again when I'd hit that 80% finished painting slump that I seem to run into all the time. I was ready to get rid of all that black, so it's a good thing they convinced me otherwise!

Thanks! I wish I could have watched it live but it was too late to switch shifts.  Everyone on the stream was so nice, I'm going to bookmark it to rewatch when I'm having one of my "bah, I can't paint at all" pessimistic days.
