Popular Post Dr Boom
Carrion Crown is finally behind us and the group has asked to play through the Extinction Curse adventure path for Pathfinder 2E, although I'm converting it back to 1E because I have so much invested in 1st edition. It's been a busy couple of weeks (sorry I didn't notice the birthday shout-outs over on the social pages), however I've got the party together and most of the miniatures we'll need for the first session. For those of you not familiar with the adventure, the party is a group of performers who escape from an exploitative circus to start their own, all the while fighting off a conspiracy of horrors from deep beneath the earth who want to send the Isle of Kortos back to the sea floor from which the God Aroden raised it. In each adventure the party gets to throw a circus performance, so each character is encouraged to come up with a scene stealing act to rake in the money. Without much further ado, let me introduce . . . The yet to be named Aasimar Bard whose performance involves singing up a storm to make the angels weep, as played by 89021 Mystic Theurge This character has an Azata background and the miniature probably depicts how he'll be in a level or 10. He'll be the literal voice of the party, and he uses his bardic inspiration to help the other characters in their acts. I tried to get a glow effect on the eyes, and through no fault of my own, that right eye turned out really well. The yellow foliage that looks like it's being lifted up with him was also a fortunate accident. Next up, hailing from far off Minkai and with a mysterious past is Emiko, Kitsune Rogue (played by 77474 Dijoro, Female Kitsune and 77057 Juliette, Female Sorceress as her human alter ego). I shortened Dijoro's weapon to make it more like the sword that the player wanted. I also tried a bit of freehand dragons on the jacket. Emiko's contribution to the circus is more along the lines of close up card tricks in the side show, however she helps to keep the performances going behind the scenes where she can. Then we have Chug Dignugget, Gnome Drunken Master Monk, as played by 77166 Balto Burrowell. Chug's act is a chaotic display of acrobatics and juggling sharp objects, all while displaying the deceptive grace of the Drunken Master. Finally, there's Draven Drovic, Elven Ranger, played by 77384 Arathanel. Draven found himself on the wrong side of Queen Ileosa's ill-fated and short-lived rise to power, ending up on the streets of Absalom where he joined Mistress Dusklight's circus. Before his fall, he made himself useful to the human rulers of Korvosa by bringing Drow to justice. His signature act "Impale the Queen" is a combination of sleight of hand card tricks and sharpshooting with his bow. That's how we're looking for the time being - I'll be posting regular updates to the minis I'll need for each of the adventures. Thanks for looking.
