WEEKEND QUESTION November 7th / 8th.

Show us a picture from your window to show what your view is like and/or a picture of the outdoors/area/neighbourhood you live in.

I meant to get out and take some pictures of the neighborhood to share this weekend, but time got away from me so instead here are some other people's pictures. In my mind, my neighborhood is everywhere I can get to in a ten minute bike ride. That may not agree with what the neighborhood maps for this area say. But the people who make those maps likely don't live around here so to heck with their opinions.

Lots of brick buildings. Here's the city's health department which has been a school for the blind and the state patrol HQ in the past. This is also where we have our neighborhood jazz fest.

At the east end of the neighborhood we have a beautiful park and conservatory.

At the western edge of that area we have a really neat topiary garden. If you look at it from the right angle the bushes make the scene from Seurat's "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grand Jatte."

And at the very northwest corner of that area we have the Columbus Museum of Art. Though not as impressive as other city's museums, it is a nice sight to have around here.

There's a bunch more neat stuff, but that's good enough for a Monday morning.

Question November 9th.

What time of the day do you feel the most energetic and what do you usually do in those moments?

About a half hour after I wake up. That's typically around 6 or 6:30 AM. Though that tends to be much later on the weekends. I have consumed coffee by then and am usually at my work desk answering emails from the prior day. Or, in the case of it being a weekend, I'm either out the door to do whatever errands I have for the day or am making a big breakfast/brunch.

It used to be 20:30-24:00 (yes I know, it's technically/supposwd to be 00:00), but that kind of interferes with work... Brain doesn't care, that's when it fires up and is in full on "let's get it done!" mode. Works great when I don't have to work the next day...

As of late though? Usually about twenty minutes after having eaten... ::P:

In my nursing textbook, it says you are supposed to toilet patients about 20 minutes after feeding them. So I suppose you do have at least a bit of get up and go...

Look for my hometown in the new Ghostbusters movie this summer. The "diner" is actually an automotive shop and was owned by my grandpa for years and years. The town seized it from another owner for arrears and so it was vacant when the movie filmed. It's now an auto shop again. As far as I know, there are no ghosts in the attic, though I hear grandpa used to rent adult films from back there.

hmm

7-11 am

Frequently I work out,  or get chores/shopping done.

Or just cook breakfast for everyone.

QUESTION NOVEMBER 10th:

What song makes you really happy and what song makes you really sad?

I don’t remember songs by their titles. So, there is no easy way for me to ID songs that would match the criteria.

Way too many to list for happy, plus it's situational. There are a few songs that really get me down, but I'm not listing 'em 'cause I prefer not to think about them.

There are quite a few songs that make me happy, but Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is a real downer for me.

A whole lot of songs make me happy, but I can't name the songs that make me sad.  They are the current pop songs.  Of course rap is excluded because they are not songs at all.

For me I always get happy when listening to Motörhead's - The Game or Overkill.

I get really sad when listening to Christina Aguilera's Hurt, because it reminds me of my Father's passing away.
