I do have one or two, but one was given to me by my parents, and the other is a Betty Crocker dessert one.  While that Betty Crocker one has some fond memories, especially the incredibly tasty brownies.... I prefer being able to look into more modern recipes. 

 

Won't lie though, back in the day there were actual arguments over who would get to buy the brownies I made when I was still going to church... So mom and I "solved" the problem. Funny how walking in with four batches will still get the three old ladies that fought over them to argue over who gets which batch! 

 

Truth be told though, with recipes I tend to just wing it with a lot of things. Usually works out. Occasionally needs further research, like my chicken stew definitely needed. Now it's really good

Obviously without the disease that caused him to do what he did. He was such a warm, lovely man and the world is a lesser place without him

I actually do this purposefully once or twice a year, so I guess the answer is spend everyday in my kayak paddling and fishing and the evenings sculpting.

Jim Croce or Rich Mullins.  Both died very young as they were just really getting good at their music.  I always really wonder what songs we never got to hear.

Lots of options. I think I'd go with Brandon Lee. Died way too young and right when his career was starting to take off. It would have been fascinating to see what kind of art he made if he'd had more time. 

 

Though I supposed Brandon coming back from the grave is a plotline that already exists.

That's my first step in planning a good vacation. Find somewhere where I'm isolated from the internet. So I guess I'd pack up the minivan and drive somewhere scenic and hike around for a week.
