Six cases (one household as I understand it) per the news tonight. Boosters for Mrs. Strawhat and I scheduled for Sunday. Hasn't been detected here (they're doing wastewater monitoring) but it's barely one week since everyone traveled for Thanksgiving, and we're three weeks away from the big Christmas travel season where everyone can spread the love, so I'm gonna say "soon".
Sylverthorne
Hasn't been detected here that I know of, but... we picked up dinner on our way home last night, and the restaurant dining section was packed. Only a matter of time, I guess. >_< Anybody want to make bets on the number of Covid Pi memes we're likely to see? 5
Cyradis
I am kinda figuring that while Delta cases are down in my area, and before Omicron takes hold, I should have a little fun. Did go to a grad social night last night with a bunch of other geologists. Who knows if we'll be willing to do the same next week. That sort of event would be the first type of event to cut from my activity list if necessary.

That was slightly less worse than the second shot.
Citrine
My third shot was about the same as my second shot. My company is offering booster shots to employees and family members at the company pharmacy.

Moderator Chaoswolf Posted December 8, 2021 Moderator Share Posted December 8, 2021 I got mine at work yesterday; same as all the rest: I feel fine and have a bit of soreness at the injection site.
haldir
My arm hurt as soon as the pharmacist pulled the needle from arm & it continued to hurt for a couple days afterwards when I got my booster. Normally I don't feel the needle, this time.....ugh. I felt a tad bit ill, but that lasted a few hours, mainly went home & fell asleep before work sooner that night. As far as current here, eh same as usual, some people masked, most people not. you know the whole "Eastern OR isn't Western OR, we can handle things ourselves!!!" Then again, seen the other day, Gov'ner went some fancy schmancy shinding in Washington DC & posted pics of her not wearing her mask with & around lots of people, etc etc. Let the backlash & defending begin.....
Glitterwolf
Got the Booster today. I had an original shot from Jansen Booster is from Pfizer. I felt the injection, the stuff gave me a little of a burning sensation on the injection spot. So far I have no side effects. We'll see what the night and the upcoming days will bring. I for one am glad I could get it. 9
Cyradis
Oooh @Glitterwolf is a mix'n'matcher! Gotta be honest, I'm kinda hoping that when I'm up they have a mix on tap. All-one-type seems plenty good, but the J&J seems like it is doing really well as a complementary bit to a sequence. Give the immune system all kinds of good instructions on murdering invaders. PEW PEW.Wait. PEW PEW was not the sound of immune cells fighting invaders on Magic School Bus OR Cells at Work. Darn. I think MSB had a SQUISH SQUISH and CAW had a SHHWWKKKK sort of sound. 7
Glitterwolf
So far no side effects, just a little sore spot on the arm. Mixing the vaccines like this seems to be even better, at least that's what the medics told me. I'm fine with it, also good to see medication is being developed and one is already available for people who are in the high risk group. We will get there, it will take time though. Stay healthy and safe all of you!
aku-chan
Got my booster jab yesterday, unfortunately it effected me like my first jab did and I'm going to be feeling pretty lousy for a few days. Which sort of makes sense as this was my first dose of Moderna (I think), previously I was on team Astra Zenaca. Totally worth it though, I'd much rather be icky for a few days then have Covid mess me up like it has my Housemate.
ttuckerman
I have 11 days until my booster. Seeing as we are the center of most of the hospitalizations in the US it can't come too soon. Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana have about 6,000 cases and the rest have about 5,000.
Rob Dean
Got mine last night; feels like the aftermath of the second shot…slight temperature elevation, tired, sore arm. Hopefully passes by tomorrow…(Moderna on top of previous Moderna, FWIW).
Cranky Dog
Due to the climbing number of cases, we're back to imposing mask wearing protocols at the work place. Being maskless was nice while it lasted. As for the booster shot. Ever since I moved last spring, I don't live in a remote area anymore, so I go back to my age group as a category (50+). The 70+ group have recently started, with the 60+ starting next month. I have no idea which version I'll be getting, but I'm currently a double Moderna.
