Factions to Come

As some probably have noticed from other topics I am fairly intrested in the teaser Razig Faction. What catches my interest most is that they are no where in the rules(except for art) even though time was spent on stats, minis have been produced that are obviusly for this "faction", and other minis for this "faction" are scheduled for release.(Dark Maiden)

 

So Why hold back? It wouldn't have been to hard to include them in the rule book. My only guess would be that they are the center of some World affecting story point.

 

Also are there other factions to come at a later date like Razig? Should we expect some merceneries to expand to all out factions(Lupines could do it easily)

RB, way to dodge the rest of shakhak's questions about future factions and currently non-existent "factions". I think its a great question. Your thoughts?

I can neither Confirm nor Deny the existence of these so-called "Shadow Factions".

Nor can I speculate about the inclusion of new, as yet undiscoverd factions. It would unwise of me to speculate at this time, as the future is a place that hasn't happened yet, and the past is over.

You do make valid observations, but to follow these observations to such a colclusion is unwise, and could lead us all down a slippery slope of causality. The Lupines, as addressed specifically, have not told me that they desire independance from the Mercenaries, nor have they asked for special considerations in future rulebooks, although what future updates will bring to them or any other model is currently classified as Ultra-Super-Nano-Top-Evenhigherthantop-Secret.

Well, um, could it be that there is nothing for Razig and crew because it's an entirely dfferent type of terrain than anything offered in the core book? I mean, it takes an entirely different set-up for battles at sea than stuff set on the land.

 

It would make sense to leave Razig out of the basic rules, then spring him in a book specifically for water-based senarios.

 

This is not based on any "knowledge" of what Reaper plans. It is purely speculation, based on observation of what Citidel has done lately.

 

BTW: They used a Reaper treasure model on the deck of one of the ships in their magazine- specifically, the pile of scrolls with rats on it.

Actually, I think the female Skoli makes a nice Elven Long Thorn. Cut off the horns and use an exacto knife to shape the stumps into hair. Whittle the thorns off the knees and smooth them out. Shorten the toes and sculpt greenstuff over them to make boots.

 

She's got beautiful hair, a delicate face and pointed ears. I've converted two of these to be my Thorns until the "real thing" comes out.
