It's Cats All the Way Down: End of Year Paint Binge

This year I'll be spending the week between Dec 25 and Jan 1 at home... like a lot of folks.   I'm using the time to finish up a few figures languishing on my paint table and prepare for a clean(er) start in 2021. 

 

I'll get some photos up as I prep.  Right now I am planning to finish:

 

1640 Cat dragon in tree

3893 Mal, catfolk warrior

3894 catfolk rogue

3977 Mercurix, winged cat

77576 female sphinx

several Cats and Catacombs figures

a trio of Alkemy Khaliman Republic figures 

some 3d printed tressym (winged cats)

whatever else strikes my fancy at the time

 

Paint along, or not, as it suits you.

I'll definitely be following along.  That looks like a wonderful lineup.  Envious of those Khaliman figures.  I've been dying to get my hands on the starter set but the price is above what I'm willing to spend.  I just have the perfect use for some pseudo-Egyptian catfolk

I lucked into the Khaliman years ago at a con. A vendor was parting out boxes and I got a handful of them for less than the price of a cup of coffee.  They are gorgeous sculpts, but delicate and fiddly.

Sphinx in progress.  I started this several weeks ago, following Anne's Pro Tips stream, and plan to get as much done on this as possible.

Also cleaned and primed the Tree with Cat, Winged Cat, and Bombshell lynx.

Lots of outlining and detail work this afternoon:

 

 

Also worked on these two.  When I started this spring I put down a few base colors, and a wash on the smaller cat, but haven't really picked a solid color scheme.  Added some browns and started outlining to get definition.
