Generic Fighter 3412
So, update on my situation. First off, Finally got an appointment for my cataract surgery. March 5th. Second, Need a new flat rate box. BAD. Old one isn't being held together by packing tape so much as being packing tape held together by some cardboard! Lastly, I'm expecting a delivery of some miniature related items tomorrow. Some of which might end up in the box depending on things. So, Box should go out Monday. haldir 46064
What i took! Tbh with everyone, the box has some great stuff in it but nothing really said "take me now!" So I went "hey I need this for my Saturday games" Since my hobby room/table is a absolute mess, its hard to find minis so I went bases I need for this Saturday, along the metal Citadel orc. The shadow demon will be in play in a few weeks. I do like the Nolzur's style of base so I ended up just grabbing the bag of them, along with the human sorcerer 2 pack & along with the "evil" wizard sculpt. Finally, while I'm not into buttons, I figured this one was appropriate for me right now. Box should go out tomorrow vs today. I need to exchange some cash for the international envelope.
ferret 352
I appreciate the pictures! Interesting to see what everyone is taking from the various boxes. Since this is my first time starting a box, I was wondering what I am supposed to do when the box gets back to me. Is it expected that that I will store the box in anticipation of it being used in a future BoGW round? If so, is it normal to "refresh" its contents? My inclination is to remove and replace the items I put in to start the box since they will have gone a full cycle without being claimed but to leave everything others added to the box until they complete at least one more cycle. Or would it be a faux pas to cull an item someone else added to the box even if it goes a couple of cycles without being claimed? Ironically, most of what I considered the best items I used to start the box are unclaimed so far. So I am not very good at anticipating what others will find interesting which seems a good reason to change out the starting stuff for different items closer to what people seem to be claiming in the various boxes.

If I remember what @Chaoswolfhas said in previous circuits, he has them run a few times, then culls what doesn't seem to move. I don't see a problem with grabbing something after the box has come back, kinda the point, right? As for redoing the box, more then likely it will be a whole new group of people who will find the items new to them.

Since this is my first time starting a box, I was wondering what I am supposed to do when the box gets back to me. Store the box for next round. You'll have a whole new list of people who have not seen the contents. If a bag of something lasts more than 2 rounds then you might consider it for removal or replacement. That is part of why the notebook is important, you can look in it (if you inheirited a box) and see how long the items have been making the rounds, and decide. Some items I put in my box last year did not get chosen, but have found a home this time. One year I took some old metal (not 25/28mm) that had been making the rounds for a couple of years and traded it out with figures from the Reapercon melt bin. That worked well. If you no longer want to be a box starter, let the organizers know and arrangements can be made.
ferret 352
Thanks for the guidance regarding what to do with the box when it works its way back to me. I will hold on to it for a while in case it is needed for a future BoGW. I will limit the culling to swapping out some items I used to create the box for things that might have more appeal.

Inarah and Ratmaster2000 both covered it pretty well. Hang onto the box and use it for the next round. If you see some stuff that has cycled through a few times and is not moving, go ahead and pull it out. And yes, absolutely grab a few items for yourself when you get it back.

Well good news, cash is in the envelope, bad news is the box is still here. I didn't wake up in time to get to the PO today. Box will go out on Monday.
Lidless Eye 13219
The @Inarah box has arrived. I'm sorting through a few things to put in still and may take a day for a few more to cure.
