If you have the misfortune to end up at my house right now, you can cook for yourself. And while you’re at it, clean up the kitchen and take out the trash.

Swears.

Does getting married count?

Question for January 26th:

Have you ever done something crazy/completely outside your comfort zone to impress someone you were attracted to?

Quit my job, moved to Baltimore without a job lined up and only enough cash to cover first and last months rent and *maybe* a month's worth of bills

About a decade later sold my house, quit my job, and moved to NYC...

Question for January 27th:

If you had to use a fake name (first and last), what fake name would you go by?

Uhh.... Crowley.

Tale Spinner

Figured that was obvious at this point.  The weird thing is when your fake name transcends the bounds of reality and BECOMES your name.  It is getting hard these days to know where Andy Pieper leaves off and TaleSpinner begins; we are one.

Jack Daniels

Like others have mentioned, I figure more people probably know me by my forum handle than my actual name at this point, especially having just moved.

You think Cranky Dog is my real name?

Though I have imagined a pen name years ago, inspired by a PC character: Corey DuBois. The surname is known in both English and French speaking communities, so it fits my real background.

It's by sheer coincidence that it has the same initials (CD) as my regular forum name.

Poor wording in the question on my part. Assume you have to abandon your name/identity/go on the run for whatever reason. Thusly, what do you choose?

I'd go by John Johnson. It's simple, I won't forget it, and while it might get a few looks, it's not out of the realm of being believable.

This information is classified.  A plan for such events may or may not exist.

Now I see it's rather like the John Astin flick Evil Roy Slade. His character, Evil Roy Slade, wants to go straight; SO he changes his name to Evil John Furgerson.

I am Felonious Fred Fangwangler .

Count Maximilian Von Strontium.

I'm going with the idea that at a certain point a name can get so obviously fake sounding that people just accept it's real.

Makes sense. I have a friend I first met online in the early days of the internet. Turned out what I had thought was a fairly clever username was infact his real name all along.

The rules: as they were last month (in addition to all regular forum rules) except where I sneakily changed them:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question. †
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day, a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one... ††
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted sometime before 1 AM Reaper time (US Central).
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to Talespinner or Morihalda…
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
      8. Pix always welcome.

The first question will need to be posted after a brief (10 minute) pause to foil the merging of posts.
The footnotes, because I can't resist doing †††footnotes:

      † I will aim for 0600 Reaper/Nottingham time.
††  If subs and backstops could wait until 11AM in Reaper/Denton's timezone to see if I remember.
      ††† …because I re-remembered how to do the dagger ( † ) symbol.
