If you have the misfortune to end up at my house right now, you can cook for yourself. And while you’re at it, clean up the kitchen and take out the trash.

Swears.

Does getting married count?

Question for January 27th:

If you had to use a fake name (first and last), what fake name would you go by?

Liam McWood

I wrestled under Liam Ferguson but since I have to choose a new last name, I'll combine the traditional Mc with a family surname

Turns out my actual name can be basically flipflopped with some slight modifications into a different name, but uh... Internet.

I'll go with Dexter Hannigan. Has a nice ring to it.

Sparrow Awesomelaser. Husband tried to convince me to change our last name to Awesomelaser before we got married. Not sure how serious he was about it...

I've been using "Inarah" since high school... it always amuses me to see it on stuff in my mailbox.

Question for January 24th:

Open your purse/wallet. What’s the most random thing in it?

A little fold out bit of card listing the symptoms of septicemia and meningitis that I picked up in the pharmacy about a decade ago. The illustrations are adorable, yet terrifying.

Question for January 25th:

What’s the funniest (or most memorable) thing that happened on your family vacation (or a vacation just for yourself)?

We were in Florida and my dad decided to take a shortcut from our hotel to a nearby restaurant. He walked through an archway into a movie worthy spiderweb and an equally cinematic hand sized arachnid landed on his chest. I'm not sure who move faster, him or the spider ::o:

Question for January 26th:

Have you ever done something crazy/completely outside your comfort zone to impress someone you were attracted to?

Sometimes I feel as if I'm outside my comfort zone actually pretending to an adult, so it wouldn't be much of a change to be honest.

I'd go with Leena Cartwright, it seems nice and vague

It's only in the past few days that I realized I've been using "Cranky Dog" as a nickname for about half of my life now. Starting somewhere in the mid-late 90s.

We've jokingly thought "Werewolf" or such would be an awesome last name, just so when someone goes to call out our name they have to pause for a moment to try and figure out if it's real, or other staff are messing with them...

I don't want the secondary exam every time we go through customs though.

I've been WhiteWulfe for over two decades myself.  Kinda scary, yet neat how time flies eh?

No. It usually doesn't require much impetus from other people to get me to do crazy stuff.

One of my well developed DnD characters names. They have personality to go with them.

Gabrielle Fiend ...my primary alter ego since 1996. My second DnD character. Only used once as an alias IRL and that was just a diversionary tactic. Not recommended to meet her in a dark alley, or for that matter a bright sunny spot...

Or Lydia Lightfoot ...My Living Greyhawk character... a very different personality associated with this one. But let's just say... she has her own inn now.

I've been Dragoneye since my first ReaperCon (2016)

If I had to go on the run I'd roll a new character and go with it... I never figure out the name until the end. But the process would give what I need to slip into the role and be someone else.

Americans would say I pronounced decal incorrectly as a kid!  Deck-ahl.  Or Deck-uhl, depending on how you want to try and put it.  It's apparently how a number of commonwealth countries seem to pronounce it.  Oh wait, it's still "deck all", always has been, always will be - "Dee Cal" just feels weird to me.

My aunt claimed I prounced pecan incorrectly - "pee can" isn't the way it's pronounced in Texas.  Around her, I pronounced it their way (puh-Kahn, don't drag the a like Kirk!) because that was the only way I was getting pecan pie, so kind hard to protest. ::P:

The rules: as they were last month (in addition to all regular forum rules) except where I sneakily changed them:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question. †
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day, a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one... ††
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted sometime before 1 AM Reaper time (US Central).
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to Talespinner or Morihalda…
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
      8. Pix always welcome.

The first question will need to be posted after a brief (10 minute) pause to foil the merging of posts.
The footnotes, because I can't resist doing †††footnotes:

      † I will aim for 0600 Reaper/Nottingham time.
††  If subs and backstops could wait until 11AM in Reaper/Denton's timezone to see if I remember.
      ††† …because I re-remembered how to do the dagger ( † ) symbol.
