Stubbdog
I am a noob and only have a few so far, but I will catch up soon enough. But, just cared to see what kind of collections there are around here. Had people on another site boasting about 25,000 point armies. And 25,000 points is a large number indeed. But, that doesn't tell me much. 25,000 = 11 sections of un-modified Thunderbirds 83 sections of unmodified Heavy Infantry And then of course there are always those that say they have 25,000, but neglect to say that this is on paper, while in reality half of it is either still in blister, or has not actually been purchased yet, just planned for. Anyway, so that led to questions to get more in depth information on the subject... So, I figured I would ask the same here. How many are in your largest intact army? warlordgarou
If I fielded everything I currently have, I could field the following (sorry 'bout the formatting): Current figure list PV/model # Models 70s Dictator 413 2 Archer 266 1 Assassin 297 1 Badger 131 2 Bishop 316 1 Butcher 440 1 Centurion 464 2 Challenger 314 2 Chieftan 122 4 Conqueror 266 1 Despot Tank 194 4 Dictator 306 3 Duellist 357 1 Falcon 310 1 Ghast 105 4 Ghost 230 1 Gladiator 319 2 Harpy 133 2 Hedgehog 90 2 Hornet 112 2 Hunter 145 2 Hvy Infantry 75 3 Jaguar 236 2 Katana 228 4 Khan 183 1 Kharl 224 2 Longbow APC 112 6 Lynx 95 2 Malefactor 112 2 Manticore 129 4 Mantis 343 2 Mastodon 390 2 Naginata 198 2 Ogre 487 1 Panther 199 2 Poltergeist 109 2 Puma 178 1 Raptor 192 1 Reg infantry 38 3 Reg infantry w/ hvy wpns 132 6 Revenant 510 3 Rhino 598 2 Sabre 100 3 Sabretooth 248 2 Scorpion 316 1 Sovereign III 293 2 Spectre 308 1 Spider 256 2 Spike 153 2 Starhawk V 307 1 Sultan 314 1 Thug 273 1 Tsuiseki 198 4 Tyrant 231 1 Vindicator 120 4 Warlord 276 1 Wight 350 2 Wraith 351 1 Wyvern 304 1 Outlaw 166 4 Thunderbird 544 1 Starhawk VI 509 1 Or, put more legibly, 59 Total CAV 12 Total Infantry 10 Total APCs 9 Total AFVs 22 Total Tanks 18 Total Gunships and a total PV (stock) of 28704. As far as I am concerned, however, my collection has a lot of room to grow - but it is on back burner while I assemble a half dozen different Warlord armies. Of the above, perhaps 6-10 items are still in blisters - because I got a box from Reaper early this afternoon.
Froy The Orc
Here is exactly what have ready to play. This means they are out of the blister, and glued together. Not all have paint, but 70% do. Naginata x4 Stiletto x2 Specter x1 Sultan x2 Katana x1 '70 Dictator x1 Knight x1 Warlord x1 Spartan x1 Regent x1 Ghost x1 Starhawk VI x3 Blitz x2 Duelist x1 Jaguar x2 Rhino x3 Sovereign III x1 Butcher x1 Starhawk V x3 Despot x2 Spider x3 Talon x2 Conqueror x4 Ogre x2 Challenger x1 Tyrant x2 Puma x1 Gladiator II x2 Panther x1 Hunter x2 Thug x1 Raptor x1 Falcon x1 Infantry Light x3 Badger x2 Ghast x8 Whisper Missile x3 Wight x2 Centurion x1 Sabretooth x1 Wraith x2 Total point value of the above 20,605. Then I have the following awaiting assembly still in the blister I bought them in. I am counting them as if they were out of the package assembled, not by the blister. Hornet x8 Stiletto x6 Lance x2 Despot x4 Conqueror x1 Specter x2 Naginata x4 Flail x6 Tyrant x1 Gladiator II x1 Raptor x1 Kharl x4 Dictator x1 Malefactor x2 Wight x1 Longbow x8 Cougar x2 Regent x3 Panther x3 Archer x1 Rhino x1 Lynx x2 Ashigaru x6 BL-Dictator x1 Warlord x1 Whisper Missile x1 Spike x2 Vindicator x8 Katana x1 Manticore x4 Sultan x1 Assassin x1 Harpy x2 Wraith x2 Spider x4 Vanqusher x1 Heavy Infantry x12 Tsuiseki x2 Light Infantry x3 Chieftan x2 Sabre x2 Poltergeist x2 Revenant x1 Kikyu x2 Hedgehog x2 Total point value of the above 20,272 That's what I have. I mainly have this selection because I bought all of my stores selection a while back because we were going through some financial times at the store and CAV is a game I see myself playing for quite a while. And almost all of us from Mil-Net also post over here. I have 16 playable sections. All out of blisters and mostly all painted. They come to just a touch over 25K after modifications and just over 18K without modifications. I hate to type just enough that I'm not going to list them all, but only 4 of those sections are infantry. 2 are tanks and 2 are aircraft. None are missiles like the Whisper or Ripper. None of it is "imaginary" or "notional"
Stubbdog
Hey, I know there are some that post in both places. I didn't name anyone from there did I. Sorry if you were thinking i meant you or something. I was just saying it so that people wouldn't include them (NIB or unpurchased minis). That's all. I seemd to not ask the question the right way anyway, cause both WG and FTO answered listing everyting they own, not what their largest army is (unless everything they own belongs to the same army)
Leech
I have a Battalion, which consists of 4 companies. I'm raising an additional two, but right now they're paper tigers. The total fieldable forces I have amounts to 17 CAV sections, 4 Infantry Sections, 4 Aviation sections, 1 Armour section. I'm in the middle of raising an additional 5 CAV sections, 8 Armour sections, 4 Infantry sections and 3 Aviation sections. Most of these are still in the planning stage because the models I need for them are still not released. So hopefully, by this time next year I should have my army completed. As of today, I can field over 30,000 points before upgrades, weapon mods or anything else. heck, I've probably more than that if I worked it out fully. Spire
Not meaning to brag... White Mice 102 CAVs (inc 8 variant models) 28 VTOLs (inc 6 w/sml inf bays) 16 APCs 77 AFVs (inc 6 variant models) 53 INF 4 MSLs 70 Sections 50822 points w/o toys (inf weapons, upgrades, etc) all but 7 AFVs (Custom models awaiting parts) and 5 inf stands (Hvy INF w/Lt and Hvy Mortars) mounted and painted Harelquins, led by a Command Section belonging to General Drake 24 CAVs 6 VTOLs (inc 2 w/inf bay) 6 APCs 6 AFVs 23 INF 17 sections (one w/one models) 10336 points w/o toys (inf weapons, upgrades, etc) 5 additional INF in paint, and waiting on lots of Centipedes!! This started out as my "demo" force and a painting contest set of CAV minis. It has grown into a full fledged "loaner" force. Both units also have 4 supply trucks (scratch built from Whisper Missile Trucks) and 4 Mitso-Ta XS1 Missile Systems (see CW#9, pg 19). I have updated my XS1s to be JoR1 legal. warlordgarou
I think the corollary to this question would also be "How long have you been playing?" After all, 30 sections after 2 months is more impressive than 34 sections after 3 years, all other things being equal.

After all, 30 sections after 2 months is more impressive than 34 sections after 3 years, all other things being equal. Now that's changing "Da Rulez" there. My advice to new players: Don't try and have more minis than anyone else, it's just not important. Find minis that you like to play or find appealing in anyway; stats, manufacturer, looks, or what your unit needs.
