Stubbdog
Spire, Anyway you can snap a few pics and share? Pics of what, the whole thing or the variant units? Well, I would prefer to enjoy nice mods, paintjobs. So, I guess pics of individual minis over a group shot. As far as which ones, really any and all you care to share. It comes down to this: In this one thread people have boasted and bragged and listed well over 1000 CAV minis combined as being painted. Yet, between this board, the Reaper gallery, Mil-Net, and the less than a dozen or so sites that I have found anything related to CAV, I would estimate maybe 30-40 total paintjobs found. Spire
You are going to hate my paint jobs. My unit is the White Mice, they are all white with a few details. The Harelquins are a single base color (red, blue, yellow, black) with a corresponding accent color (black, red, blue, yellow) and again a few details. The section of CAVs that I did for a Painting Contest, many moons ago now, are in a High Desert Camoflage (swathes of Ambush Red with black in white dots and Light Desert Brown with white in black spots) and details. Anne (Forrester) was VERY unimpressed by it. This unit was done simply to place in the painting contest as advertising, not to win. I'm a wargamer, not an artiste. I just want my minis to look good from about 3' away and to be able to tell which are mine on the table top.
rustybolt
My minis are basically the same. A mix of bad paint jobs with no real overal scheme involved. Most are just basecoated one color with either no details or hardly any. I painted em just so that i could play. I just dont have the time or the skill to get into any good aritstic thing. I'll take a few pics of my better camo paint jobs or just cool ink jobs that i have done if you really want to see em bud. Later

Froy The Orc
DChihorn, I think the problem is that most of us are not the artist that do the actual character models from reaper. So naturally we are not all in a hurry to post our paint jobs, even when we are happy with what we have. But if you are ever in the Topeka area, stop by and I will gladly show you my entire army. Spartan6
I will gladly show you my entire army. Froy It looks a little raggedy from the Spartans shooting it up though

Froy There is a BT group that I fly up and game with about once a year, in the suburbs of Kansas City. Like my annual CETG event, it usually ends up being a huge grand affiar with people coming in from all over the place to participate. I know that some of them play CAV too. Maybe we can talk them into doing something similar to what I plan on doing with my CETG this coming Feb and reserve the second day for a CAV event next year and you could come out. Or, if you feel like hitching a ride to Texas in Feb, I know of at least 4 guys that are coming to my CETG event from Kansas. One day of BT and one day of CAV. As far as the minis are concerned, I understand not everyone can or even wants to paint up all their minis like pieces of art. But, at the same time, when it is like pulling teeth to find any pictures out there on the net, it also makes the game look weak. Heck, I shouldn't even go there, I'll just stick with, I love looking and getting ideas from other people's work. It usually doesnt matter how their paintjob comes out, its seeing the color combos, decal placement, techniques used, and such.
rustybolt
Heya i took some digi pics of a few mini's that i think turned out ok but im a bit web defecient. I tried to upload the pics onto a free pic site to link too and they wouldn't transfer so if you like dchihorn pm or post your email so i can send em to ya. I got to warn ya though they are anything but fantastic and i use a hardcoat finish on almost every mini so i got too much flash from the camera. You can see the colors they just come out a bit white and dull looking.
