Another tabletop lady - tried stronger source lighting and focused on trying to smoothly blend the very pale skin. Also managed to make a reasonable base with the greenstuff roller this time  - so overall happy to try these things out on her, including the flowers.

As for the rollerpins, let the putty/Greenstuff dry a little, don't use the roller right away when it's all still very sticky.

Just a little dry, still soft then use the pin, you will find it easier.

The flowers are a great touch. I'll add my two cents in regarding green stuff rollers. Rub a very small amount of petroleum jelly on to the green stuff then once the GS cures, wipe it off with a towel (gently). I have done this with many bases and it works like a charm. Glitterwolf's advice is also sound.
