Your Mini-You is great -- I especially like the shimmering teal hair (closely followed by the textured denim and leather and furs), and I'm giving a conspiratorial nod about the potential for freehand to distract and bamboozle.  Thanks for sharing!

Glad you didn't try to include a mid-spill drink in your selfie.

Has Vancouver Mini Painting Club continued to meet virtually?  Is there a gallery of other members' work from Season 3, or theirs/yours from 1 & 2?

We have a Discord channel that we're on regularly, although we haven't had official meetings online. Here and there perhaps a few of us go on the voice/video chat to paint together. The Facebook page has a group photo of our Season 1 project, which we showed together in person right before Plague. That one was Queen by Life Miniatures - I think I posted pictures of mine on these forums. One of the guys has a really good photography setup, so those pics turned out well. We decided the next figure would be an ugly-ish male figure next, so we did a goblin by Big Child Creatives for Season 2. I got an *awful* cast of it, but made it work. Should post some pics soon. Wasn't my favorite but it didn't turn out badly.

Then we did this one, because we saw the Bold Minis Kickstarter, and asked for their blessing to get the STL files as a group purchase for use within club. They said that was totally cool. Timing was right going into the next project. Each of us chipped in a few dollars, then one of the local painters has a high end 3D printer and printed them for low cost. We kinda just converged on doing "beer girl" although a lot of us got more of the set printed than just her. She's just so cheerful!

One of the guys in the club tends to do the group orders - we pay him back, then he coordinates no-contact minis/paints drop-offs. Drive up, put loot on hood of truck, we come out and snag it. Probably looks like dealing drugs, but it is only hobby-crack!

Lemme dig up the Queen photos that the club leader took....

Will go put up some of the goblin pictures soon from Season 2, but he's not nearly as great since I got a bit fed up with the bugger lol. Practiced OSL and non-human skin tones at least.

Our Season 4 project is full figure Karol Rudyk Ametriel, the fallen angel. Either the 32mm or 75mm scale one. Not sure which I'll do yet. If 32mm I'll try a small diorama, otherwise just 75mm as stand-alone.

The nail polish, necklace and the... cufflinks or buttons or whatever they are matching is a nice little detail. Also good work on the denim texture.

Thanks!!

The green is a hint to being emerald, like the pattern on the patch. My first published paper is on emerald crystallography, so those were hinting at it :)

The denim was pretty fun to texture, just tedious. Certainly got the tightness of the weave better on the body than the arms! Got slightly sloppy on the arms since they were harder to position compared to my brush.
