Those look amazing! I love the saturated colors! The skin on the djinni, especially her left hip and right thigh, is so smooth and lovely!

Thank you so much everyone!

I'm really happy with the efreetis skin tone, but the only problem is that I have to make sure that the rest of the paintjob is as good! She's such a awesome mini that I really want to do her justice

Onto my last two minis!

This is my Griffon 77689, done as part of a trio with @Thoramel and @ManvsMini. We like doing things by theme, so we all based our griffons on birds endemic to our areas. I went for one of my favourites, a male Eurasian Sparrowhawk.

Last, but definitely not least is my Duo with @Humansquish - Jhorxia, Succubus 14494. She had been sitting in my cupboard of shame for AGES, so I'm really happy that we picked her. I elevated her up with some cork and gave her some suitably coloured shrubbery to make the base look a little bit more busy.

It's been a crazy busy month for myself, but thank you so much for all my co-contributors! These communal projects are sometimes the only things that drag me to my painting desk when I've had a bad day. Thank you all!

So I decided to try out the Reaper Challenge League (RPL) for the time being and thought I'd go ahead and put together a WIP thread to highlight what I'm working on, keep the motivation going for myse

Here's some terribly lit pics of this months work on the RCL, featuring my efforts in teaming up with fellow forumites. The Avatar of Resilience(as a chubby unicorn!) is teamed up with @Humansquish, S

Love Reaper minis but really need to paint some other stuff once in a while.

Whoa!  How did I miss that figure in the catalog?  She came out wonderful.  The base colors do tie in nicely.

So here's a little update on what I finished up for the RCL in April:

First off are these figures for the new release, themed, limited palette, and monster categories from left to right respectively. The dwarf rigger fellow there on the left (I know, it's supposed to be some sort of RVE character but you can't convince me it's not a Shadowrun rigger) is the third piece I've painted in Bones USA material. and I made the discovery halfway through painting him that if you drop a large model on top of it that material does kind of shatter in an explosion of plastic. I managed to find all the pieces and get him back together, but definitely going to be more careful about that kind of thing in the future. Also, that vampire? That's totally from the 1980's sci-fi/horror classic Lifeforce (and I don't care what anyone else thinks, in my mind it's a classic).

Here's my freebie minis for the month, some scenery from Mantic. I'm painting through a bunch of scenery over in the terrain WIP section of the forum and this seemed to fit with that project. I think my player's characters deserve a nice place to rest in the dungeon while the kobolds reset the traps and this should work well for that. And by work well I mean they're just going to stand on the other side of the room wondering what is and isn't a mimic.

These are couple of trio pieces and my submission for the quarterly contest figure. The Bathalian was painted with @Inarah and @Maledrakh, and the griffin was painted with @Kuroneko and @ManvsMini. I think painting with other people so far has been the highlight of the challenge for me as I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The dragonfolk rogue was painted in the first quarter as a duo and I was going to skip it this month. But then I decided I liked painting it so much the first time I'd get another one and give it another go but make it more tabletop focused this time around. Despite all the hand options, I just do not see myself ever painting this mini without a mug of beer. I'm assuming he has that blade out because some clumsy fool jostled him and made him spill some of his beer. Once I get some better pictures of the griffin it's likely going to get it's own Show Off thread. Not because I think it's the greatest piece I've done, but because I found it super fun to paint.

This is my entry for the seasonal category, but it won't get posted until Saturday for National Homebrew Day. It's a bunch of mouslings brewing some beer. They've got some sacks labeled with different malts, a little Ral Partha cauldron doing duty as a kettle, a duck sneaking around in the back ready to steal their grain, and because I couldn't think of what to do for hops there's a frog on there. I may have been enjoying the product of my home brewing hobby when I put this together.

And here is what I currently have in progress for some of the quarterly challenges. There's a zombie shark for a 4+ group and the bones 4 dragon tortoise for the large model category. I think that's it but I could be forgetting something.

I'm getting ready to get into field season which involves a lot of overtime. So I may not be able to get as many categories completed in the challenge as I have been. But I'm hoping to keep doing the collaborative categories because, like I mentioned above, it's just fun. Cheers all, happy painting!

It has not been a productive month for me and I've only managed to finish my duo and trios, along with a freebie mini that I painted whilst watching Anne's Pro Tips show on Twitch. I'm so thankful for all involved, as I probably wouldn't have dragged myself to the painting desk otherwise!

First up is my version of Sigurd 14023, which is my collaboration with  @Humansquish. I mostly used the Highland moss triad to give him a more muted look

Next up is my entry for the trio with @Pochi and @Evilhalfling. Its Juliana, Herbalist 44017 and we decided to base our paintjobs on Disney princesses. I went for Belle and tried to do some minor modifications with the addition of a rose and some books.

My last trio was with @Thoramel and @ManvsMini, we picked the Bones USA mini Romag Davi 30004. I tried to be fancy and give him a magic camouflage cloak, but I dont think that i quite pulled it off 😞

.....and my freebie mini. Spent the least time on him, but he looks okay for 3 hours! He even got the feline seal of approval!1314875168_DSCN14291.thumb.JPG.6f3e4781e9002b1f28867add34d0aa1c.JPG346182780_DSCN13921.thumb.JPG.685f64d307a788b160043c5d2bc7648a.JPG

I think it turned out wonderfully!

Thank you! I don't think that it went quite how I wanted, but I guess it's a learning process. I think that I over highlighted the cloak, but I'm going to look on the bright side and just be happy that I've got a new photography backdrop :)

That's some awesome stuff, and I also really like the cloak. But what is the cat from? That's the kind of thing I need more of in my mini collection.

Thank you too! The cat has the grand title of Gaton the Big Cat Familiar. He's a digital sculpt from RN Estudio and I got a local Etsy trader to print him up for me as I have neither the disposal income, space nor patience to take up 3D printing as a hobby. There's loads of people selling prints on Etsy, so it would probably be fairly easy for you to source. I think @Morihalda sells some online in the USA if I remember correctly.

He's actually the mini that persuaded myself to try the 3D printed stuff, I mean, how could you resist that little face?

Agreeing with the others, that's a very snazzy magic cape!

I very much had an unproductive month mini wise also. I have our duo posted on discord, thanks for being patient with me.
